it is too bad that Google won't provide privacy to Adsense users but do you have to have a paid membership to a website which digs up sites with a Google Adsense ID or is it easier than that.

It should NOT be this way, we Adsense users deserve some privacy,
does anyone disagree with me? if you disagree, why.

This is a really curious post...

First you want to know "is it easier than that", which says to me you want to do it.

Then you state "It should NOT be this way".

So, which side of the fence are you really on?

Personally, I don't want to know.

I check Adsense sites Pub- IDs when I find a site I'm curious about, to see what other Adsense sites they have. It's no big deal If all your doing is browsing.

If your goal is to do harm to the Pub-, then yea, that's just not cool.

I am just not sure how it helps me to uncover a publishers AdSense ID. It has never occurred to me to to try and find out.

Well, the only way you can implement the adsense code now
is via javascript with your publisher ID. What you want
seems to be some sort of encryption in the code. This
would be possible, but probably at the expense of ease
of use and across platforms. Your adsense would not
work on each site, nor for each visitor.

Google could make it easier to protect your id from
being abused. I believe they do a decent job. There are people
they trust and people they don't. Pity the ones who
they don't trust, but they probably have internal ways
of knowing what is just mischief and what is shmoozing
the system. If you are not checking yourself, you
      should.

Just do a google search of the id and you'll find them. No
      need to pay.

It's a pretty terrific way of doing keyword research, link strategy research, and some other stuff.

When you uncover a large network (that's successful) there's a lot to be learned.

        Agreed,

You do IM long enough you can spot sites that know what their doing. You can't tell how much they earn, still every now & then I stumble onto some cool things others are doing that you never hear others talking about.

If it's an Adsense site, I'll check the rest of their sites just to see If anything else is interesting. Why wouldn't I?
