Google indexes sites based upon how important it believes the site is. New sites just aren't that important and only get indexed every now and then. And even then, not all pages will necessarily be indexed.

There are two things you can do to help get pages indexed.

First, make your site more important. One way of doing that quickly is by getting important sites to link to yours. One measure of importance is a high pagerank. So get a link from a high pagerank page to yours and you should see an increase in the frequency of getting your site indexed. The more links to yours, the more important your site is, the more frequently it'll get indexed. A site with a very high PR home page gets indexed multiple times a day.

Second, make sure that you have properly connected each of the pages on your site to the home page. Every page on your site that you want indexed should be linked from your home page directly or indirectly. Directly means that you've placed an actual link to an inner page on your home page. Indirectly means that you link from your home page to an inner page, and then from that inner page to another inner page.

These are probably the two most important things you can do to help get your site's pages indexed.

In order to have your site indexed, you need to ping the domain, construct couple of links to your site and ping those, and make sure that your robots.txt or wordpress settings are configured to index your site.

Also, acquire backlinks from different types of quality websites with high authority. Links from these types of sites can be seen easily or indexed by Google.
