Is there a way to find out how many searches per month a keyword gets from bing? Like with the google keyword tool shows number of searches for google.. but does bing have a similar tool that knows this data?

Don't even bother worrying about Bing. It will give you like 1% of the traffic you would get on Google for the same keyword.

Not necessarily true by a long shot.

If I can rank a site on the first page of Bing for a term that gets 5000 Bing searches per month, I will certainly get more traffic from Bing than I would if I were ranked on the 10th page of Google (even if there are 3x as many Google searches).

For those that think outside the box, Yahoo & Bing can be very profitable.

Seriously, it's been years since I've used any MS search.

It's like MS just doesn't care about anything they have, maybe they just gave up, who knows...

Would have to agree with what Wolf said about this: not true by a long shot.

I too used to think Bing and Yahoo were not worth it thinking 10% (that was my impression, not 1%) was not worth putting the effort into. Even told some clients so, plus I didn't want to manage 3 PPC accounts, especially Yahoo which I hated.

But this year, I've gotten back to Bing and I was pleasantly surprised at the volume. Wolf's numbers of 1/3 Bing, 2/3 Google are pretty much spot on. In a way, having two major search engines instead of three or more is better so I'm glad about the Bing-Yahoo fusion.

There's a perception that Google owns a hundred times more searches than Bing does. That simply isn't true. Google owns 2/3 share of search (roughly). Bing/Yahoo own the other third.

Based on those factual numbers, Google only owns a 2-1 edge, not the 1000000-1 edge many people believe to be the case.

Now, I'm not saying you should give up trying to rank on Google by any stretch. However, what I am saying is that ranking on the first page of Bing is almost always more profitable than ranking on the 10th page of Google, making it, more often than not, more cost-effective.

Yes, the reason I asked is because I am starting to rank on the first page of bing and I'm getting traffic.
