You have no right to ban his website from Google.

What you need to do is take your issue with the buyer up with Odesk. They are the ones that need to get involved.

Then I would give him a bad review and move on. Not much else you can do that is worth your time.

Leave a bad review and for future projects ask for milestone payments, I don't know if they do them at Odesk, they do at Freelancer.com

I know people who've done test studies on this and they told me that long term it only makes the site you attack stronger. Google punishes people who attack sites by returning the victim site to an even higher rank than previous possibly.

BTW did you open a paypal or other complaint about them yet? You can send bills through PP I think.

Agreed. Plus, it's bad karma. Give him an honest review and move on. In the tame it takes to mess with his business you could be working on your own profitable ventures. Just my two cents.

Pharm and pron links say hello!

That said I saw a test on the Backlinks Forum once. The guys sent a bunch of Xrumer links to a site and it went falling faster than a rock with an anchor tied to its ass in the ocean.

Add in some Pharm and pron links to the mix and the site is doomed for failure. Google's SPAM filters is not a human review activity.

That said, don't do it. Your wasting your time on a very negative thing, and who really needs that in their life. Can it be done? Sure it can. But cocaine can be done as well, doesn't mean you should be doing it. Simply move on and get about your business.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

You know the niche and you know what you did to rank him - simple solution, make a competing site and out rank him!

Let me try to get this straight...You took on a fixed rate job contract to get him ranked for 1 keyword, but you did 4 keywords.

He didn't pay you the agreed upon amount, but then you state "we can't do anything, since it is a fixed price job" which I assume is a response from ODesk, which means you did receive payment of the listed fixed price.

So, reading between the lines I'm guessing you sidestepped ODesk, made an arrangement with the buyer to do extra work without an official arrangement through ODesk.

Did the buyer actually request the additional keywords to be ranked or did you make that decision?

Now, you are on a popular Internet Marketing forum asking how to get his site banned or lose ranking. I hope you are smart enough to not be using the same name here that you use on ODesk. I would never hire you because of your reaction.

Asking how to file a complaint, requesting suggestions on how to attempt to collect, or trying to get recommendations on how to avoid the problems in the future would have been great. Asking how to ATTACK someone's business because you had a failed business arrangement is almost criminal.

I have had disputes through odesk before. Odesk can and will close the account of the person who you were working for for not paying. Not that it really helps with your money situation. If you were doing link building can you arrange for the links to be removed? Other than that, sounds like you are the expert, build a competing site and take all the traffic he was meant to be getting!

This is the very reason i no longer work for others. Page 1 is not enough. Money it at top 3. Buyer is not making enough money therefore he is not willing to pay you more.

Best you can do is try to delete the links.

    I always wonder about this....
They say that so-called "artificial linking" will get you sandboxed.
But if that were true, wouldn't your competitors do that?

Regardless of what anyone else says, if they lured me in a contract under false pretences, i'd remove EVERY single link i've ever created for them. This is a sure fire way to have their rank back where it belongs.

If you care that much, just remove all the links you've created.

    Take him to the court.

If you were on a contract, then you have all the right to take him in court.
