I'm new to warrior forums and I have a game information site that averages around 1,100 uniques a day and about 11,000 pageviews a day. My average CTR is 0.25% is that normal? Any help would be appreciated thanks!

Ya, that does seem really low. All visitors are not created equal, some are click happy and others are not.

I had a network of movie blogs a year ago that received a significant amount of traffic but my CTR was extremely low. I almost gave up on adsense before I switched to a different niche and now my CTR averages around 14%. Good lesson to learn.

Can you share which niche you're in?

I'm in a gaming niche that targets kids aging from 10-16. I've tried placement targeting to get game type ads, but it just doesn't seem to work.

Interesting, I don't have any experience with that audience, but I was talking about this with a buddy the other day. We were both wondering how a kids gaming site would do with adsense (I was thinking of targeting Lighting McQueen because my son loves the movie Cars). One might think that they would be clicking like crazy, but perhaps they are less prone to impulse clicks.

Anyone else have experience with this niche?

Well the gaming niche in general has a relatively low cpc. If you can target "kid type" ads and get a high CTR I'm sure your site will do just fine. The majority of ads I see on my site are ads related to boosting ctr, about taxes and about the irs haha. I'm sure kids won't click on ads like that. I just cannot get all my ads to target the young audience, I don't know what else to try..

Are you running text ads or image ads? Have you tested both?

I have tested both, but when I use link ads I get text related to zodiac signs because they are part of the game. However, I would only want game type link ads

The site that I'm talking about is actually not the Diablo 3 site. I only get around 10 visits a day to that site, as I have not done much for SEO. Plus as you know the game hasn't even been released yet. The site I get about 1000 uniques a day is Monstergalaxydatabase . blogspot . com it is an information site for this facebook game called monster galaxy.
