Just going overe my stats for a mortgage site

I decided to check AdSense today and see if I made any money, but no. A few dollars this month, but nothing to shout about. I then went to Statcounter to see what kind of traffic I was getting.
So far I have had 9 unique and 11 page views for this site. Just tearing them up I guess.
For the work I have put into this, I can't complain though. But I was wondering, one of my pages states it is number 3 on G so I checked it out. It actually appeared at the number two spot. G states 8.85 million competing pages. If I put it into quotes, I slip down to the fourth spot. G states 269K competing pages for this term.
I chose low volume key words as I thought they would be much easier to rank for, but it still took me a few months to get to this point. I bought this domain six months ago.
I am just wondering if this is worth putting much more work into. I don't have a lot of time to devote to IM as life keep getting in the way. Either that or I am just damn lazy. I could be doing something now, but instead I am posting on WF.
