Outsourcing SEO for Non-English projects!?! What can you expect from Google?

Hello fellow Worriors,

what are your experiences when it comes to SEO for Non-English sites?

I get diverging advice from offshore SEO companies so far.

One of them (using SEnuke for their service) say that Google responds positively to their backlinking and they get stable results for their clients.
They build the links with unique English articles, but using Non-English (e.g. German, Portuguese etc.) anchor text links. Everything works fine they say and Google does not mind the differing languages of the articles and the links or money site.

The other company i consulted told me that Google would indeed be sensitive to different languages and that they can't service our Non-English projects. They offered me a Social Bookmarking service though.

What is your take on that? I myself got mixed results with SEnuke for German sites so far.

Anyone with similar experiences here caring to share his/her views?

Thanks
Valli

I have managed campaigns in a few languages and I have found that content needs to be in the non-english language and using non-english anchor. Also you need to find relavent sources in the region to post the content and create the links.

It is the same process as SEO in English and relavency and uniqueness is the key.

    Thanks nick tyler.

Will have to look for project to project outsourcing, if you are right.
I have seen similar requests on freelancer.com. Bids ranged very much.

Any suggestions how to spot the good outsourcing services/ outsourcers?

Price tag and completion date are ambiguous criteria i think. Cheapest price or swiftness of course doesn't imply best quality.

I once heard a fellow suggest that you should include some line like this in your ad:

"If you apply to this ad, the first two words in your reply have to be "red dragon"."

In this way he makes sure that he can see which applicant really read his ad. Nice idea, huh?

The way to spot a good agency or outsourcing company is one that can demonstrate that they have all the knowlelege on SEO exactly the same as the English language SEO's but they have the local knoweledge of sources like directories, blogs, sites, social networks etc in the foreign language

For quality translation you may visit proz, translators cafe and similar translator portals but not sites like freelancer or scriptlance etc. You can google translators marketplace.

Thanks ostom. Never heard about specific translation marketplaces before.

So you would agree that SEO via SEnuke is only good for English sites?!

The guys over there at the SEnuke forum contradict each other a bit.

Ive been using english articles with non-english keyword.
It works but you need 10 times more backlinks than if you had the content in your own language.
Make sure you dont use this method on a fresh site though and when you have run out of sites to place links on your own language ehich doesnt take long time for me since we only got like 10 artickes directories in my language

    hey,
SEO is the same for any language projects. You just need a good translation software to convert it into the preferable language.

Only problem is, that most Article Networks do not accept any other languages than English!!!
