Besides traffic its also important that you do the perfect optimization.Adsense is all about experiments.Conduct different experiments and see which gives you the best results.

However besides adsense you can try linkworth-a network that offers various opportunities to make money from a single site/blog.

Not all web traffic would lead to conversions, sales, profits and improved click-through rates over the net. Sometimes your website might get accessed by hundreds of people and unique visitors on a monthly basis and only a few of them might get interested in clicking on the ads and visiting homepages of the advertised web portals. It is instead suggested to keep working on improving targeted traffic streams which would more than probably result in clicks.

There is also another solution and that is broadening the scope of your keywords online, adding extra links plus contents to your website which will result in getting traffic generated through dozens of long-tail keywords. Improved web traffic shares, adding to thousands of page views would ultimately result in enhanced web earnings. This is one reason why some top-performing websites have strong web ranks for dozens of keywords, operating in a great way.

Maybe it has something to do with your keyword. Different keywords has different CPCs. You can try different keywords and see which one yields the highest revenue. You can build other blogs.

Yeap, focus on high paying keywords (GKT, spyfu might help) in your industry. You can still target the previous ones, but try to "promote" high paying KWs - that's where money is.

Highly competitve keywords are just that. Highly competitive. Find a keyword tool that will tell you exact match and competition level and gear your site towards those.

If you have high traffic, then you need to know what are your traffics?

You can check on the keywords on where they are from, for instance if they some how googled "SEO Tips" and found your Anime Site, that does not make sense. You might want to start some basic SEO to ensure the right traffic is going to your site then only you can monetize. Before you want to make money from your visitors, you need to know the requirement from them. Probably they are looking for products and you can just take Daniel Wilson's advice to start some affiliate marketing on those products.

I've been reading several posts lately of people not making money with just adsense sites.

I would add something to it. Add a squeeze page to your domain and start building a list in your niche. Offer them something they want to join the list.

Then you can promote to the list over and over again.

And if you want to get even more targetted traffic for free, check out this free software to War Room members

You should try promoting affiliate products related to your niche.
You can start with writing product reviews and move on to list building.

What's your bounce rate like? I'm developing a plugin you can use to monetize bounce traffic. You can check it out by clicking the link in my signature.

Aarin...how long you are been into this ? I know there are many sitting years together to make money and you've to wait until you make pretty good money. You can't assure all your site visitors will use other links...try to bring quality visitors rather than quantity of visitors. Like ebizstore suggest...try it.
