What I am getting from your post is that your are getting your index page in search results for your keywords.
And, while using site command you are getting your privacy policy only.

Well, this is not issue of Meta tags... I guess, the blog posts which you want to see in search results are not indexed yet.

Create a good internal linking structure to get your other blog posts indexed soon.

    Hi mate,
Don't remove your Meta tags. As they are one of the important one in seo to get good keyword ranking for your webpage. Use google webmaster tool to check the infected pages.
And try to re-enter your keywords in the better way.

Make sure that your pages are not blocked by robots.txt file and you can check by searching www(dot)yoursite(dot)com/robots.txt, if any page will be blocked then you can see it here.

Create good internal linking pages within your website, also create sitemap for your site and submit it using "webmaster tools" it's helps Google to crawl your every page quickly.

@shailender, thanks A lot. When I searched http://my-url/robots.txt I can't really understand what it's saying. Something like this.
User agent:mediapartner-google disallow. user agent *disallow
    search: /allow

What does that mean. Pls I need help here.

      You must be suing blogger.

That is a standard robots.txt, one which you
cannot alter. And you have no reason anyway.

Google is a master of just about anything for
      optimizing for google.

I've seen a lot of blogspot people here freak out
      on that robots.txt. No fear.

All that robots.txt does is make it so that if anyone who
searches on your blog, the results will not be indexed.

Just think about it. If you had a huge blog with a huge
following, those searches could add up. But the results
may look like new content. So instead of having the
"content" balloon up into a bunch of junk, they
      don't index it.

The rest of your blog they crawl and index just fine.

You still don't say what you mean by meta. There are
      several.

Meta (description, keywords) tags should have no impact with your rankings. There could be something else to look at. Meta desc. tags are useful in case you want to let visitors know about what your page contains in your own words as this is displayed in search results page.
