Manual vs. Automated Article Submission - Which is better?

Hi everyone,

I've been getting a ton of great answers from the people at this forum. Another question: I have clients looking for article submission services, and it looks like there's a market for that, so is it better to do manual or automatic article submission?

I've heard that if Google sees too many links too fast, then it may penalize or not recognize those links because they aren't "natural." Are the links provided by software that submits to 100s to articles even worth anything, or am I better off manually submitting to the top article directories?

I'd like your opinions.

Always automate it unless there are people reviewing the articles. Most people can't build enough article links in one day and get them indexed/crawled to really have to worry about a penalty.

I agree with InitialEffort, why make 100 links and article submissions yourself, when that process can be automated? And the end result is no different.

The automated process can still submit the content you want it to submit.

I do use manual backlink building with outsourcers along with automated building and I feel that more gets accomplished faster using the automated processes than the mannual ones.

This is helpful. I did not know the end result was basically the same. Excuse my lack of knowledge, but that is why I'm asking these questions!

no worries at all. I'm sure it is debatable like anything... but that will always be the case. I can speak from my experience and what I see works well for others. I don't think you can go wrong if you use both methods... I just think you can get more bang for your buck if and make it go 10x farther if you can automate your manual processes while achieving the same end results.

The servers still communicate with each other the same way, whether I click on links and tell it what to do, or whether an intelligent macro does it for me exactly the same.

Hi buddy, Automated article submissions is the way forward. However it is recommended practice to do manual article submission on a few very high value sites such as ezine. After this ensure consistent drip feeding or rss submissions to have them indexed, so that the link juice is gained.

    Hope that helps!

I recommend manual article submission. why you not submit your articles in some high PR sites like ezine, goarticles, hubpages?

I always shun automated because the chances of your work going down the drain are higher. Although you can get away with it... I just worry about future Google updates as well as the chance of getting your site looked down upon.

I have never had any problem ranking by just utilizing a manual submission process and would recommend it above any automated process... but it is just my opinion.

Automated and manual submission not big different on your result. Most SEO expert do this job all automatic. Google will not find and index all of your backlinks in one day, so you do not have to worry about the penalty.

I think there is a lot of difference because manual submissions represent the reputation of the webmaster and Google will notice this kind of consistency in giving quality content that will benefit the visitors.

Definitely manual article submission is the best way for getting the effective results. As in manual article submission one can submit the article on each and every high authority and high pr site and with efficiency.

lol.. manual or automated they are both seen the same way... why spend 3-4 days submitted to 100 articles directories and web 2.0 sites when you can set it up and press a few buttons and it's all done the same day and you can get on a do some other essential task in your business.. automation all the way

I've heard that articles of a 1000 words bring better results. Has anyone found this to be true?

    Thanks,

Both are good! Automated will be awesome if you do drip feed submission!

I have broken down and I'm going to have someone work on some manual submissions 5 days a week for some websites and see how it stacks up against what I had been doing. I'm not sold on the idea that the manual work will be cost effective and produce the same results but we will see.
