I have a website with over 1200+ indexed pages. I decided to make a page promoting an affiliate and have links built to it via Warrior services. However, that service is near the end of its turnaround time, and I've found that my page has been de-indexed.

What is going on? I can't count on a report because the particular link building package I purchased offered none. It was a service with rave reviews so I thought, surely this would work, but it backfired on me.

Please help!

I've noticed recently in all my keywords that I'm ranking for...all the sites that are pure affiliate sites were thrown way back in the rankings. They were there on the first page for as long as I can remember, and the sites are all over 3 years old with pr of over 3.

This may be different in other niches though, ex. something something reviews.

Your own page could be doing a little Google dance for awhile after a recent charge in backlinks. Wait for a bit before jumping to conclusions.

Sometimes web pages which have been purely developed for commercial purposes, like the case you are referring to, merely adding affiliate links and commercials to the pages may get de-indexed and websites which have lots of such pages may experience drops in the ranks or number of indexed pages. Usually there is nothing to worry about and Google might be evaluating the value of your web spot. Keep building links for that page and also think about contents.

You know, Google needs some proof that a specific page, even if it has been powered by a lot of incoming links has some values before crawling and indexing it. It could be similar to the case of most web directories online, lots of such portals simply contain free or paid advertisements and links, without any useful contents to find. If your web page is promoting a commercial product, try putting some fresh information about that online, offering useful information to your readers.

If commercial pages like these (e.g. product name review) are being deindexed, what is supposed to show when someone Googles "product name review"?

Google dance only refers to change in rankings, right? Like dropping off the list then re-appearing? It has nothing to do with getting de-indexed?

Ok, I just checked a previously posted similar affiliate page and it's still indexed, so I don't think this has anything to do with duplicate content (I used parts of the products' sales letters for both). Could it be keyword stuffing? I've optimized the page to get a 91% score in Easy WP SEO, but I do feel that I have too many keywords in there...
