Google no longer show search keywords on Analytics?

Last week, I read something about how users cant track keyword usage on Analytics anymore, unless the traffic is from Google Adwords (or something like that).

Apparently, I am not an Adwords user but still able to track keywords on my Analytics?

Am I seeing something wrong here? I am a little confused with this.

Please advise. Thx

If the user doing the search is logged in to their Google account, then the site owner will not be able to see the real search keyword in Google Analytics. Instead Analytics shows "(not provided)" in the keyword field.

For me, maybe about 9% of my searches show up as (not provided). I still see keywords for visitors who were not logged in to Google.

The Adwords thing... Google still shows these keywords to Adwords buyers. Their thinking is that Adwords buyers 1) have a stronger need to know what keywords are being successful at drawing clicks, and 2) are paying for that information by buying the ads.

So if you link your Google Adwords account to your Analytics account, can you see the keywords? Is there anyway to get these keywords back in the report?

So in other words, I would have set up a hockey adwords campaign, target the most obscure keyword thinkable which has 0 searches and then I get access to the missing keywords?

Sounds like Google is on the brink of rolling out a pay as you use system for analytics.
