He is in the long-term success.

On the other hand I'd offer my visitors both: subscription and like.

Why choose a page at all? Youtube has all the trailers I need or there are few more I know.

There are plenty movie sites. Just because you will get 'Likes' doesn't mean you will make money off of them. It's one to get them it's different to monetize them. Esp. in your niche. I don'tt hink you have a product to sell (maybe you do). If affiliate marketer is getting Likes he can count how much they cost him and then how much traffic it got him to his website and then how many sales he got from it. You can get just buy Facebook Likes these days too.

Facebook Likes are awesome and the rage but you need a plan to make money off of them. From what I remember movie sites had trouble monetizing traffic, I think it will be even harder to do it on FB.

Again, I just hope you got a plan ready and don't go blindly to gain Likes and think that Likes are the end goal. Don't get into vanity numbers man!!!

            Man, what a drug.

            $75 for 150 likes.

If that's what FB marketing is, count me out.

Getting people to like in the guise of future spam, er,
signup, er,..something, is exactly why social is best
            left to social...

People can un-like just as fast...

Not if you're building for the long term.

Edit: Oops. Look like a few others already suggested that.

YouTube you have to search for what you want so him building and audience has nothing to do with YouTube. For all we know he could be offering a lot of things on the site.

Last time I check YouTube didst serve me trailers I have to know about it then search then find the proper trailer.

Well what can he be selling there? I've heard people having sites with lots of visits but having trouble monetizing because advertisers would pay low CPMs. CPA is an option but it can get spammy..

Spending 2 bucks on a Facebook Like is very much. Email subscriber, I'd do it probably. But not FB..

Don't know what he could be selling. I was addressing one point, which is YouTube has trailers, so what. I like sites to discover movies and yes YouTube sometimes has movie ads but I would have to know of specific movies to watch trailer.

one poster suggested his site has no value because YouTube has all the trailers.

Whether it can be profitable is a different story.

But profitability IS THE MAIN STORY HERE! :p There are many trailer sites.. it's easy to start one, tough to differentiate and earn money.

I don't think so. Facebook Ads are cheap and impressions are all round world (if you select while publishing ads ;P )

Whups..my math is wrong. It's not 2 bucks he spent but 50 cents per Like. That's much less but still, doesn't guarantee he will get profitability.

Impressions are useless if people don't click on them.

well there are some wierd claims going here... First of all my fanpage is not about movie trailers.. even though its a good niche and i can see hundred ways to make money with it.
secondly i already started making money..and made around 50$ on the second day after i interacted and got myfans engaging..

All i can say is that think ahead... ways to make money with niche will automatically pop up.

Nobody ever thought a simple idea of telephone directory would work..but it did.

    Good to hear.

Pretty pricey, but if you can end up getting a decent ROI out of it then it's worth it. Just have to be careful.

Yeah, I got 35 dollars free facebook credits with my hosting. Loved setting up the ads, and ended up spending over 100 dollars so i guess they hooked me in pretty good.

My friend told me he saw my sites ad on his facebook pageand clicked it, i was like you just cost me money!!!
