Is it possible to dominate for one keyword google serps #1 up to #10?
What would you need to do?

I think you cant do it with one site.
I remember more then 10 years ago search results where often spammed with one domain .
Its now limited to 2 ranks for one keyword I read(google).

Do we need 10 different sites on different IP's, different adsense, different domain owner?
Could they be interlinked?

I know its kind of theoreticall but an interesting thing to think about.

Looks like you could possibly dominate the 1st page of Google SERPs depending on the keyword.

Example: seobook toolbar - Google Search

They own the top half of the first page with the domain + sub-domain. Create 2 more sub-domains & you'll have it wooped.

I guess in this example google has aknowledged that seobook toolbar is a brand and any searcher just wants to find something related to this.

I think it is very possible. The keyword I am focusing on now ... There is one guy with three sites in the top 10 (and two more in the top 20), and another site has 2 in the top 10 (another in the top 20).

I don't see why with 10 domains, or less, you could take all 10 spots.

I ditto Yukon. You can have your sub-domains ranked for the same keyword. Just play it natural.

Yes you can dominate the ranking all the top sites provided you own all the domains & optimize those in search engines.

If the keyword is your brand, you can use the main domain, sub-domains and social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc) fan pages to dominate the first page.

I think for competive keywords its not possible to do it with one domain.

I thought a bit more of it.

You will need at least 5, better 10, domains to do that.
And they cant be from the same owner/ip. Or could they?
I guess that the key would be to interlink them wherever its appropriate.
Its often stated that links from related websites with good authority on the subject do give more weight to the website they are linking to.

Tactic would be to have the number one spot and after you achieved that you build up a similar website that you link to from the #1 website.
Google then values the links highly and once you get the second website on place #2 you can build a third website.
Every following website is even easier to rank cause when you use the link power of the already ranked websites the new website will rank even faster.
Once you have like 5 websites that are viewed as authority for this keyword you make the rules in this niche.

It will be very hard for the competition to rank high without beeing linked by you.

No doubt this is really hard work but it is easier to have 10 authority websites in one niche then 10 authority websites in 10 different niches.

Think about the synergy effect. You can recycle every info 10 times(no exact copies - sure).
If you use 10 different Ips and website owners it is nearly impossible for G to find out.
Sure you need to have 10 websites that do help searchers. The websites itself need to be 100% white hat seo. The tactic behind it is maybe not

I think its a fascinating idea. How would warriors do it? Do you like above "plan"?

Even though it may be possible
even dominating the top 3 would make me nervous I woudl think google would frown on that

however its just pure speculation on my part but it sure would make me nervous

top 2 I would be comfortable with
remember dont be greedy, could end up biting you in the butt

      you sound very paranoid
yeah I guess its only possible to do it with different IP's and different domain owners to avoid any penaltys or reports from competitors.

If it's a low competition keyword you could grab a few, maybe 5 or 6 of the top 10 positions, not sure about all of them. Possible though.

Depends on the terms. If they're considered local terms, it's next to impossible because Google is mixing their places/maps data into the organic results.

It is possible maybe for someone who will work on it in every second of his life. Maintaining your rank in Google search would not be easy especially if you're competing with really huge sites.

I've seen it a few times for local SEO but so far not for general terms, although there have been a few terms where the different pages of 1 site has ranked for spot #1-#5.

In fact a thread to check out that shows you how to do this for local SEO would be http://www.warriorforum.com/offline-...on-empire.html.

It's impossible to dominate the front page of Google with one domain (Not all 10 spots at least). Of course it would be possible to do that with multiple domains as they would all be independent of each other.
