This is my internal linking structure and it works for me.

So say my home keyword is:
    "Dog Training"

    Then the other pages are:
    "Dog Tips"
    "House Training"
    "Feeding Dog"

I have a section on the end of the page that reads something like this:
    "Related Posts" or "Related Topics"

Then I would link all the links on the bottom of each page.

you link them all, is not gonna hurt your ranking? you use anchor text to link them? example

      from homepage "dog training"

      Related Posts:
      Dog Tips
      House Training
      Feeding Dog

      from subpage "dog tips"

      Related Posts:
