Hi guys and gals!

I have a micro niche website which was sitting on Google page 1 for couple months, and did make some money, not a big deal, but something, actually last month I got at least one click every day more or less expensive, there was just couple days without clicks, this month no clicks whatsoever, they just stopped at once, so I went to check out what's wrong.
And what's strange, according to Seoserp.com rank checker tool my website dropped from position #4 to position #13 in SERPs, what explains I don't receive any more clicks, but when I check manually I can see my website still on position #4, so I'm a little bit confused here.

I'm not a SEO expert, still a beginner, but from what you noticed, I can tell you that you should always check your rank from another machine (or at least incognito window). There are a lot of cookies and stuff that may cause different results. So, solution - always check manually from a place that you haven't browsed before.

The other thing is that the recent Google update - PANDA - is hitting some micro niche websites. Maybe that's why you got hit. Search for advices on how to avoid the panda's paw.

Checked from another computer #5 there. I have Trafic Travis checked trough it, position #4, Rank Tracker position #4, so regarding to those my site is still where it was, then why clicks suddenly stopped?

Agreed, there are so many tools that get it wrong. i have tested about 5 as of late, and they have been very hit and miss thats for sure.

One I found pretty spot on was Traffic Travis. just google it and download the free version. If you have a niche for 1 exact keyword, id just manually check it mate, its much easier.

I have a few sites with like 30+ keywords so its painful having to do it manually so finding a decent tool has been very important.

If you have moved down to 4 I would say its because you have not been building back links. Build some decent back links to boost it back up and you should be sweet.

You need to check from another IP. Try scroogle.org, hidemyass.com or something like that.

If your ranking is the same, check to see if your traffic logs show the same as when you were getting clicks. Check the keyword tool to see if it's a seasonal keyword. If all looks good, check the advertisers in your ad units. I've had some pages that earned very well until 1 or 2 advertisers pulled out, and earnings were noticeably affected.

Both of them are showing my website on position #7, maybe somebody knows a really reliable tool or website to check websites position in SERPs?

Send me a private msg with your URL and keyword, I also want to check.

But no matter what you rank is - you have to think how to get your visitors back. Keep building backlinks.

  • Try searching for Google using Chrome incognito. If you click on the spanner option at the top right in chrome you will see it.
This will allow you to surf the net without any cookies or cached pages.
Often your Google results are based around your previous searches etc. I.e. if you are always on your own website doing work, Google will tend to rank it higher for you.
    That could be the cause.
