hey mate its best to not use the same article more than once. Duplicate content isn't very beneficial. Unique is the best, especially on your own website.

what I would suggest is googling "article directory" and seeing if you can find some there.

Start with something like ezine articles maybe and post one for moderation up there.

There is no which is better as well. They article websites and blogs are both good, and the more diversity you can have the better. Just dont use the same article on both :p

    Good luck.

Yes and No. It's bad to use the same article multiple times on the same site, this is duplicate content. On different sites though? The same article is OK. This is known as article syndication, and is just fine to do.

Like I said, I am not exactly the best one to answer lol. Smarter people will see the thread soon; and add their two cents.

I'm sure there is software out there to do it. On a personal level I intend to do it all by hand. It is more about quality over quantity. I want to make sure that everything that gets published with my name on it is a damn fine piece of work; and I'm not sure if that is guaranteed with software.

As for a list of directories, I don't have one personally. When I start publishing my own content, I'll be sure to forward you the ones that work for me

Let's see, I'll regurgitate what I have learned the best that I can:

    1. Publish to your own website: ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS do this first. Why let some other page get the traffic that your site deserves? Make sure that your content is always published and indexed to your own page first.

    2. Your "syndication network": Now this one was just described to me yesterday, and explained pretty well by Alexa in this thread. In essence you will build a network of reputable websites/ezines/other stuff in your niche, and you will deliver the content to these people next.

    3. Article Directories- Ezine and the like. The point here is for your articles to be available to aforementioned reputable people to find. This is how you build relationships and make them part of step two...at least that is how I understand it.

There may be (and probably are) more steps; but I'm not the best one to ask for them lol. The above is at least a good start.

Obviously there is always software out there to make the process of submitting your article faster, however I always steer clear of them as I only ever use ezine articles, Go articles and Articles base to submit my articles too, they are pretty much the only ones that get a lot of traffic.

There are thousands of article directories out there, but most of them sadly do not get enough traffic to get your article syndicated, or get any backlinks which will be worthwhile. So my advice is to manually submit your articles to the above directories, and if you have written your article correctly, then you will find they will start to get syndicated quickly, thus helping your SEO purposes.

There's some very good advice above, anyway.

I think this post and this post will between them probably tell you most of what you really need to know, on this question.

A systematic method I use to distribute articles weekly within my syndicated network is through autoresponders, RSS feeds, website updates, and sometimes fax and even snail mail.

I have a question: Which are best places to post your articles, article directories (ezinearticles, articlebase, ideamarketers etc.) or social sites (zimbio. digg etc)

I think it is better to submit your article to a site with the best page rank. I know that these high pr article directories are more strict regarding your article link type and the placement of your links in the article. So, for first timer you can try on submitting your articles to less restrictive article sites.

              How do you do that?

Your new article will go on a new page with a PR0.

Just because the front page of any site has a high PR does not make your article more valuable when it is sitting on a PR0 page within the site.

The exception is if you publish articles into a blog network using high PR blogs where your post/article WILL be on the high PR page for a least a short while. OR...If you can get your articles syndicated onto blogs or sites which WILL use it on a high PR page.

    hey mate,

depends on your strategy and what u want to get with articles.. if you manage to build backlinks.. perfectly you can use the same articles on DIFFERENT DIRECTORIES.. if you aim to post an article on your blog or whatever the website you have.. its better to publish a UNIQUE content based article... an additional tip mate.. whilst building backlinks with articles.. try to get them published on top article directories - ezinearticles.com, articlebase.com, etc - (just google for some more)..

by posting on these sites.. automatic blog-posting robots usually scrape these sites to get content..leading to a massive spread of your articles on the blogs using this sort of robots (in case your article is picked up :-).. thus.. you´ll have hundreds of backlinks pointing to your site with a single article!!

in most popular article directories..typically you´re allowed to place your backlinks onto the bio box!!

    take care!!

I used distribute articles but that did not make through article directories that i prefer like SA, Ezine and Articledashboard. So I gave up wasting my time on such things. Now, I do it manually it takes a few minutes and is organized so results better for me...

After Google panda its not advisable thing to post same article on multiple site, its better if we can post unique articles on top article and blogging sites like hubpage, squidoo, wordpress, ezinearticle.

you might think posting the same article all over the net on different sites is "okay" but theres no way in hell you would ever catch me doing it for any of my sites.....

  • I always post a single article in one article directory. It's really not a good idea to post any article in more places so that you can keep the uniqueness of your written content. You need to know which article directories can help you to get traffic to your website. Try to post in most popular places like ezine, articlebase, goarticles, squidoo and many others. But remember your article quality should be very top quality, unless you might not get benefits from SEO perspective!

  • Why don t you just pay someone to write 3or 4 articles for you, then submit them, and go from there you can always add more later, lots of people on dp offer writing services for a few $.
