Hi.

I'll be launching a blog in the coming weeks (none IM niche). At the moment I'm still gathering a nice back-log of articles so that I can put them on scheduled post over a couple of months, whilst I concentrate on, promotion and SEO etc.

I'm no SEO expert and I need a good back-linking strategy that I can implement for each separate post, and for the blog as a whole, but I'm not sure how I can go about it or what to do exactly.

Does anyone have any effect blog SEO strategies they can share?

Thanks

There are seo tips that can get you massive amounts of traffic daily. There are thousands of different websites that implement certain seo tips and get traffic in probably the thousands range to their website daily. But in order to benefit from these seo tips, you must know how to use them correctly. If you want your SEO tactic to work correctly, remember some tips about content. To improve your SEO ranking, make sure that you post content at regular intervals! Also, make sure that you have targeted keywords, relating to the topic of your blog or product. Most of all be sure that your content has value. By value, I mean your content should be informative. Give your reader’s what you would want in their place. Use some techniques to grab your reader’s attention too. It doesn’t hurt to make your content interesting, not to mention having attention grabbing titles! Make a reminder list and keep practicing these techniques until they become second nature.

Expertise. Make your blog a source of expertise for one topic. Don’t expect a successful blog while posting off topic. Anything irrelevant to your blog topic has no business entering your blog. Your reader’s come to your blog for one purpose, and that purpose must be fulfilled. Keep your focus and relevancy.

Content. Again, make sure that you post content at regular intervals. Search engines often crawl sites to see which have posted most recently. Search engines like Google are looking to provide viewers with the most up to date results. A blog with the most greatest content can fail to be reach it’s traffic generating potential if not posted often enough. It helps to have a schedule of when you will post everyday.

    Target Keywords

Fill your content with targeted keywords. This means that you should use keywords in your content that will help viewers find it. Ask yourself, which keywords do you want your reader’s to search that will display in your content? These are the keywords you should use. Put yourself in the perspective of your viewers. Think about which keywords they would search for or which keywords you would search for yourself.

If you need ideas you can just type in a keyword related to your blog in google search engine. The results that show will be full of different types of keywords that are probably related to your niche. It would be a good idea to use these keywords in your content. Try and place your keywords at about every 75-100 words of your content

    Quality

Make sure you have quality posts. After awhile, you will soon get the hang of adding keywords to your content, and everything will start to flow. Just be consistent in your posts, and your ranking are likely to increase up the search engines.

It's not really much different than for any other type of site.

Blogcatalog, Technorati, and MyBlogLog are good sites for a blog to be listed in.

Commenting on similar blogs can be a good way to get links - not just from the comment itself as these can lead to the owners adding your blog to their blogrolls if they like it. Asking for link exchanges can work too.

Social bookmark the separate posts and get a Twitter account for your blog to link to your posts every time you make a new one (there used to be a free Wordpress plug-in that would do this for you automatically, I'll see if I can remember what it was called).

Just a few suggestions, there's a lot more you could do.

For blog linkbuilding, exchange links with other bloggers will be a good choice. Find those niche-related blogs and spend some time research their data (such as indexed pages, cached date, update regularity, etc.), pick up some well managed ones and visit them regularly, leave some comments (Don't spam!), post few guest posts, then after few weeks, try to contact the blog owners and ask them whether they want to exchange links with you. Oh, and don't forget the content building on your own blog, it's the base.

If you want the more traffic for your blog as llaunching and want the more backlinks through it then use the social media. As it is the best place to promote your content through the blog and to get the suggestion from the people. And as people make comment on your blog then be re-responsive to them and provide them the more best information and attract them to you. So this way you can get the maximum benefit through your blog.

A good strategy is to have a variety of different things in off page seo being done at a constant rate. Every month you can have some article marketing, blog commenting and posting, classified ad posting, forum profile backlinks, Squidoo lenses, press releases, social bookmarking, directory submissions and google +1.

You do this for a few months and you will definitely rank well, and it doesn't cost very much to have this done every month.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. I need a backlinking routine that I can follow every time a make a new post. If i don't have a proper routine, or check list, I tend to lose my way and get a bit confused.

Up to now I'm thinking each post should get Social bookmarked, a couple of blog comments, Syndicate the article, maybe a squidoo lens backink.

Fresh content is essential for successful SEO Strategies. This is because websites need to develop a following and ultimately it boils down to getting great websites to link to you. Links to your website are called Backlinks and those websites with the highest relevancy and reputation (high PR sites with a lot of indexed content) are the ones that you will find on page 1 of the search engines for relevant keyword searches.

There are many delivery systems for content. Blogs offer one of the best ways of delivering a regular stream of relevant content. Primarily deployed as a sub-domain e.g. blog.optimum7.com, blogs provide a daily platform to share content and develop a following. Obviously, your daily posts need to be relevant and targeted at what your readership is interested in. Blogs also tend to give the writer a bit of latitude to be a bit “edgy” and develop a distinctive style as opposed to regular articles and press releases which follow a more structured format.

As importantly, Blogs are a great platform for syndication efforts. RSS (Really Simple Syndication) should be a part of any blog so that readers can subscribe and receive notification of new posts as they occur. This stimulates visits and the opportunity for a great deal of positive interaction i.e. share the link with a friend, Tweet the post, Digg the post, Stumble the post … you get the picture. All of these generate publicity and attention to your content and draw visitors to your blog. All great blogs provide plenty of referrals to the main website and if you are providing goods and services only good things can happen from more visitors.
