I am feeling that no matter what I do,I am not successful with search engines. What I am doing things wrong, I have a poor SEO performance. My competitor is really tough. My niche isn't that competitive,

I want to know how to monitor your competitors' success and failure.

If you have money, you may want to get Market Samurai. It analyses your competition. Or you can download this free tool: Free SEO Software | The Best PPC & SEO Management Tool -Traffic Travis

      Hope this helps.
Market Samurai is your best bet, this has been one of the best tools for competitor research for years now. There's a free trial version, but I suggest picking up the paid version (it's $97 last time I checked)

Always try to get do-follow, high page rank and relevant backlinks and never try black hat seo strategy because when you choose short cut and black hat techniques you have to pay for it. Fresh and unique content is also a key of success.

You need to analyze your competitors website first and check backlink of your competitors. Try to get same quality backlink as they are getting. Revised your on-page try to make your site more optimized.

    You can use tools like:
    - SEO Spyglass
    - Market Samurai
    - Ahrefs.com

You can look at your main competitors and find out:
    - what kind of backlinks they are getting and from where they are getting them
    - is their anchor text matching you main KW
    - how many different IP address are linking to them
    - are those sites authority sites

    Them you can:
    - use a list of backlinks that your competitors have to do the same - you can try to get backlinks from the same sources (try to concentrate on highest PR pages)
    - if it is to hard to compete why not do a research for similar KWs and long tail KWs and getting traffic from KWs that your competitors do not care about
