How important is Unique Class-C IP Hosting?

I had a question regarding the importance of hosting websites on Unique Class-C IPs. How important is that? Does it have a big impact on search rankings?

If I have 50 websites hosted on ONE Shared Hosting Account (One IP Address), how can this affect my rankings?

Please share your thoughts

With 50 sites you could have a mini network if they were all on separate C Class IPs. Plus you also have the bonus of adding your best backlinks to each of your sites. Currently by having all your sites all on one IP, thus one network, your backlinks are devalued if use repetitively.

It's hard to find quality backlinks. So why not make use of a good one a few times.

Edit: Also, you don't need 50 C Class IPs. 5 C Class IP's wouldn't give you a powerful network but it would allow you to get the most out of your backlinks if divided accordingly. So in other words, if you found a high PR, low OBL, dofollow link you could add this backlink to each of the 5 C Class IPs without any devaluation.

You really only need your sites on Unique Class Cs if they are interlinked. Otherwise, it's no problem - except the risk of a server failure taking down all of your sites at once

The best SEO Hosting sites use servers located all over the world. So no, all your sites will not go down at once. Besides the OP currently has 50 sites on one IP. That is an explosion waiting to happen.

Yes, I agree. Not just for IP diversity, 50 sites on one server is really risky. If that server goes down, you're out of business.

Just grab a 5 class C IP server from HostGator for $70 a month and break them up. Then you are on 5 different servers and you can use the link juice to help out your lower performing sites.

50 Sites on one server isnot risky unless you have it with a unreliable company. Putting 50 sites on a shared hosting account with hostgator is not wisdom unless those site are not used as your money sites. I have a VPS with wiredtree and have close to 200 domains on it and have not had downtime for months.

SEO hosting have different ip's but they on the same server mostly and not sure what will explode if have 50 sites on one IP. Some shared accounts have 1000's and no explosion. If the OP is going to interlink all the sites that is not wise but no explosion as the links will not have the same value if they were coming from different locations
