Anybody even had a site removed from Googles index and then gone through the process of getting it included again. I want to know what I am to with a few of my sites that have been removed from googles index.......

If they are definitely de-indexed and you know why ( and corrected that ) then you can submit a re-inclusion request. NO guarantees with this though unfortunately.

It's generally easier to create a new site with the old material on a new domain, then to get reincluded in the index.
Put a permanent redirect on the old site to the new one, if you have a lot of backlinks that you want to keep.

    Paul?

Are they definitely gone? I've sometimes had sites vanish for a day or two and then pop back up ... is it anything that building more links could fix, or do you think they won't be automatically included again? Also, are you using Google webmaster tools, is that of any assistance?

Oh yes- its gone..... site:domainname.com zip.... am using Googles webmaster tools.....

Thanks for the good advice kirk - I may go that way- there is a system in Google- to submit qs etc and apparently it does get answered...so might also go down that path
