Does anyone have any SEO techniques they'd like to share? Here's one of my favorites to find high PR, dofollow backlinks:

Reverse Engineer Your Competitor's Website:

Here's a site that you can use for free right now to spy on your competitors' backlinks: Backlinks Checker Tool - Backlink Watch

Just go to the site, enter your competitor's website, and reveal many of their backlinks in a matter of minutes!

How can this tool help you? Use your imagination. If you see that the site that your competitor's backlink is placed on allows dofollow comments (the tool shows this), go make a comment on that same site using your keyword as the anchor text.

Have you ever wondered why your competitors' websites are ranking above yours? Well, they probably have more powerful and relevant backlinks. What do I mean by powerful? Links that originate from websites with a page rank of 6 or higher and are DoFollow are extremely powerful in boosting your website up the Google search engine.

    I just made a post about how on accurate such tools are when evaluating back links to your own site but this puts a whole new spin on it when you're using it to reverse engineer someone else's rankings.

    If you're a heavy blog commenter you can take it even further by actually searching for their comments. Good if you're looking for auto approve blogs.

    SB definitely helps with this. Find a blog post that is clearly auto approve, use the Scrapebox "Comment Grabber" to grab all of the comments, plug these into the search harvester and go. You'll find plenty more auto approve blogs. It's time consuming but it works.

    When I need to give a site a quick boost I go and post a backlink (with content) on my Orkut.com account.

    1. It's a Google property

    2. Even your own pages show as a PR8

    3. It is amazing what you can post there

    One con to it for US users. Hard to build a friend base as most people there are Brazilian or Asian. Not too many english speaking users.

    On the other hand, So What?! Your page is PR8!!

    I've actually ranked for some low competition keywords using nothing but these!
