So these forums where you put in your web site but then log out and try to load your profile but get "you must be logged in" message... this is useless for backlinks?

They're useless for backlinks regardless. Just think about it in a common sense way for a minute. Why would google think you putting a link to your site in a forum profile makes your site any more worthy of ranking higher?

Stop looking for easy linking solutions. They don't exist. And forum profiles are a complete waste of time.

They are also a tremendous PITA for forum owners.

Yes, they are. I spend hours every day deleting posts and users who don't bother to participate on my forum. I would bet there are many forum owners who do the same.

That stuff is garbage. Pure garbage.

Link has no thematic relevance and from a link with no authority.

Read the Google patent on their algorithm. If you need help understanding it PM me.
You will find that many low authority backlinks are worth jack compared to one solid backlink from a decent source.

While I agree with you that forum profiles are mostly low quality links, relevance is overrated in general. It's not like a link is worthless, just because it has no relevance.
Also some forum profile links do have authority, because the forum is on an authority site. Think about .edu forums.

Forums profile links worked well sometimes back on 2010, but now, it is out of market

I do agree with everyone here, it is just waste of time. Better to divert your strategy towards contextual link building which rocks always.

I actually disagree. Just recently I created 250 Angela & Paul style backlinks on PR2-PR9 forums. Site went to page 1 (position 7) within first 2 weeks. I added few social bookmarks and regular backlinks - now in position 2. Low / medium competitive keyword.

      We are happy for you.

But it is simply not the way Google works.
Each page on the internet has it's own Page Rank value that Google uses internally. It is NOT a value from 1-10, or the "toolbar" PageRank that we see being used in every tool.

Each page has a PageRank value based on the incoming links to it.

Adding a link from a crappy forum profile is not going to carry any authority since the only way to build authority would be to build authority to the forum profile. It goes on and on.

It is best to get a link from a higher quality source.

P.S. In low competition markets what you are describing is normal behavior. Anything is better than nothing. And quantity done correctly can trump quality. But if possible build your quality backlinks because they are worth more by several orders of magnitude.

High quality forum profile links are really worth building and getting links from different platforms like forums, blog comments, article directories, blog networks adds up.

Yes, it is useless. Creating forum profile from these packets and not creating any post, I would say will not help your site.

if this is the case then i think there is only one type of link which is worthy enough and it is contextual link. An article posted on a website not in an article directory. And those links are hardest to get. Because even if some websites allow guest post but a number of them don't allow any hyperlink.

But if any body have a list of websites allowing the hyperlink/keyword into the post then please share that list.
