Considering the host is on a SHARED IP plan. can google really tell its you?

I understand you would need to register a new domain in another name but a new hosting account to?

Google has more than one way to know who you are. The one that will get you is your ISP. They can easily see that when you sign up and when you manage your account.

I know that but this question is about the hosting account.

It doesn't matter what the actual issue is. You can switch hosts all day long but they know who you are by your ISP and can still block you.

Of course, maybe I misunderstood your original post.

          Hi travlinguy.

Yes I know you have to have a new ISP. This is what VPS's are for.

But I am referring to your hosting account (where you host your websites).

If you have one hosting account with a SHARED IP ....shared with other people with the same hosting company.... (not a dedicated server)...

I dont see why it should mater as long as the domain doesnt have the same who is info as the banned one.

After all.... If google banned based on your hosting IP...theyd have to banned everyone associated with that IP.

I didn't say they banned you based on your IP. I said they could ID you through it. If you're running a proxy, you should be ok.

Proxies aren't safe, unless they're paid proxies. You might bypass the registration, but once you have $200 in your account they'll terminate it . I know some marketers to which this happened to. So if you do by chance re-register, use a VPS.

You can easily sign up to a windows based vps service. There are plenty of providers at WebHostingTalk. Get a windows VPS with a dedicated ip.

Login to the VPS using the "Remote Desktop Connection" tool on your windows computer. You'll have yourself a new computer with a new ip address. There is no way Google Adwords can trace your original IP address if you do this.

I understand this, I was just stating that the seller should use a VPS rather than a proxy.

If you have everything else covered, the same hosting account should not get you banned by Google.

I have never been banned so I can not tell you from personal experience. Just to be safe, I would put the websites I plan to add to my new Adwords account under a different ip address. You can request a dedicated ip address from your host for the website(s).
