Hi all, Merry Christmas and happy holidays.

I'm having an Arabic version of the simple PHP blog located here h**p://sourceforge.net/projects/sphpblog/ , and I was planning to start my article writing strategy for a marathon of getting around 100 posts in the next few weeks and of course to rank for good keywords in my niche.

My questions:

1. The PHP blog I use doesn't have meta tags, keywords, description tags. Does this will affect the SERP for my keywords? Have anyone used that type of blogs before?

2. The blog already have around 15 posts. Is it gonna harm the rankings if I changed into Wordpress? (It's 3 months old blog)

3. I see a lot of websites ranked for competitive keywords without doing any SEO optimization (whether HTML, WordPress etc.....) and the commonest thing I noticed among them that they are aged domains with hundreds of posts.nothing more. Any explanation?

4. Any other ideas?

Thanks

    hi marry x'ms

If you have a good content you can get top on google for low competition keywords. if you have a good on page SEO work then you got double chance to get top on google. my opinion use wordpress to get good on page SEO effect :0

Thanks. I think it's better to transform all the old posts (they are only bout 15 posts) into a new WordPress, to get all the benefits of SEO. I read that I can do a 301- redirects to old posts in order not to loose any previous rankings.

My current blog URL is blog.mysite.com
What if I left everything intact and just created a new sub-domain like newblog.mysite.com ?

Don't worry use a 301 redirect from your old pages to the new wordpress pages this will keep the ranking steady and you can also move to a wordpress platform.

On page seo is very important and if you feel wordpress is good then shift to wordpress.

How can I do the 301 redirect if I want to transfer the new WordPress platform on the same subdomain?
    i.e. blog.mysite.com ?
