Hi,

I submitted my website to Google Webmaster Tools and it is having crawling errors. It says "404 (Not Found)", can anyone explain what I can do to make sure google is properly indexing and crawling my site?

Thanks,
Noah

The reason behind your website' crawl failure is probably, because you have duplicate web-content on your website. You should change your content & then ping search engines to crawl your website.

Did you check the links that are showing you 404 error in web master tools? You might have deleted those pages in past or might have changed the link structure. Did you do anything like that?

Kinda, I spent time deciding between pages and posts, so I was deleting pages and posts back and forth a few times.

The real question is: is it saying 404 for your home page/root page, or for deep URL's?

There might be some broken links or errors in pages. Just check your website properly and correct the errors

Take the 404 links and try in your browser. If the url is intended to work well then fix the issue in your site.

    OR

If the url is from other sites linked to your site with typo. Then fix the links from other sites.

    hi
404 error comes when your page is not present, just check the website if page or URL is missing .
