Revising Article on Site - Wreck my SEO?

I have 2 articles already posted on a new wordpress adsense site i built month ago. I want to revise the 2 articles for a little better SEO and adding new keywords to link to other sites.

But i wonder how it affects me in Google with any duplicate content or other issue or other problem. Can i just change some of the words in my blog pages and republish them?

I had already posted these articles to about 10 social bookmarking sites. But haven't posted to article directories or anything else.

Any help appreciated, thanks!

    Hi Friend,

Changes to your original article can effect your SEO results. Keep in mind that the purpose of on-page SEO is to assist Google with determining how relevant the content on your page is to the keyword that it is ranking for. So changing the content, will change the relevance of the page. So the page could become more relevant and move up, become less relevant and move down, stay the same, rank for other keywords, or become spammy and get removed altogether. So its best to get it right the first time but you can definitely make changes, especially if you aren't in one of the top 3 positions for moderately competitive keyword.

Totally agree, if you think by making the changes your website will serve the visitor better and SEs will see what you think, go ahead by all means.

Agreed! They won't call content changes duplicate content, don't worry. The only way you could do that would be to use it again in a different location.

If you do want to change it up though i would suggest that you try to increase the article size as well rather than just changing words around.
