Put your keyword in Google search and then go to the bottom of the page where they have related words. Those are LSI words.

Good stuff. Look also at the top ranking sites for your keywords and look at the topics of their content and the most commonly used phrases.

Thoroughly researching your topic and writing quality articles should eradicate the need for mindlessly generating and injecting so-called "LSI keywords" into your content. This stuff is no substitute.

Making content appear as though it's relevant and worth a damn when it just isn't will do you few favours both in the short and the long term.

Making the claim that doing LSI/themed related keyword research means "mindlessly" providing info is a big leap in logic. There's a lot of people on this forum that prefer to get on a soap box and wag their fingers in people's faces instead of actually answering the questions.

LSI/themed keywords can be used in ways other than the content body, such as page titles, anchor links, etc.

Not to mention, it's an effective way to discover related topics and brainstorm ideas to expand on content.

And using theme-related keywords is a powerful SEO strategy. If you do a search for "apple", do you want a page that contains:

      pie, tree, fruit, Johnny Appleseed

      -or-

Ringo, George, Paul, John, records, songs, music, Beatles

      -or-

      Mac, ipad, ipod, itunes

The 3 examples above are all vaiid, but different, themes for the word "apple".

To the OP, another option is to add a "tilda" to the begining of your keywords and do a google and Google will bold keywords it thinks are related in the SERPs:
      ~music

(But this is a rather limited technique, that only works for general search keywords)

Please refrain from putting words into my "mouth", Kurt. You might have contrived that in your own imagination, but you didn't read it in my post.

However, you know as well as I that "LSI keywords" are often injected into generic, keyword-stuffed content by those who subscribe to the SEO theory that Google looks suspiciously upon content lacking in relevant synonyms and topically related words, assuming it to be irrelevant, thin and/or auto-generated spam. And the reality is that, in that context, they're not very well needed if the content is thoroughly researched, well written (for humans) and comprehensive to begin with.

Given that it's a widely taught, commonly followed tactic, I figured I'd make a simple point just in case the OP felt it pertinent. I can't say whether it is or not because I don't know the OP's intent. And truth is, right now, neither do you.

There are also a lot of people who apparently enjoy providing deceptively "straight answers" to chiefly crooked topics and solutions to non-issues whose very existence they seem to have a financial interest in upholding.

Personally I use Scrapebox to scrape all of the related keywords from various sources and not just Google. I then use those keywords to link the third tier to the second tier, and the second tier to the first tier.
