I am a php developer and have made some great selling products for other people. Socrates Theme for Wordpress is an example. I coded that theme.

I am selling a theme, and developing a new theme that should have the features to do incredible well. I want to test some stuff on the current theme, but I have limited funds.

I have an ad running on facebook, I signed up at peerfly and a few other networks. The theme is currently a Clickbank product, but in the last year no one has ever promoted it.

In the last few days I updated the theme and had someone write a new sales page.

Help....

How do I get people to promote it?
If you were to spend $500 where would you spend it?

I have a solid product for the price... I just don't have a name.

I want to have a plan in place and tested before the new theme is done.
I'm intimidated by the WSO... I don't fully understand it and don't want to make a mistake that will follow me forever.

I figure I will give away a few review samples of the new theme.

If you have some good themes, trust me when I say that you are in the right place. The first thing I would do is become a War Room member ($50 once, I'd pay $200+) and post a WSO. It's $40 but you'll make it back very quickly and the bring in some really sweet profits. It's very easy to do. DON'T be intimidated, it's one of the best ways to sell your products, hands down. I'm sure there will be many replys to follow that agree.

I sell my products through WSOs and get fantastic results. I usually get my money back within hours of posting the WSO. The key ingredient hot a hot selling WSO are reviews. Reviews on WSO threads are worth their weight in gold, literally. The more reviews you have the more money you will make, period.

Offer some review copies, Warriors will be happy to post good reviews. Seriously, Warrior Forum is a gold mine. Talk to people and read discussions and you'll learn the ropes.

Warrior Forum is very different from other forums on the web. This is a living breathing community with very friendly and helpful people. We are all in it together. Stick around and you'll see what I mean.

Yes, I agree that you shouldn't be intimidated by posting this as a WSO. Having coded the Socrates Theme, people will eat up anything you promote from here forward because Socrates is well-known 'round these parts.

If I were you, I'd go into WarriorPlus and look at the most popular sellers and then approach them with review copies. These would be great testimonials to boost your credibility.

Another thing you can do is up your own post count. Some people will look at this and regard your participation in the forum as a reflection as to whether or not you are in here for the long haul or just some spammer that has infiltrated the system. LOL. When you post, make sure to try and help in the website design section. People will get to know your name and will remember how helpful you have been by the time you are ready to launch. But don't forget to put your signature mentioning something about your expertise, maybe a link to the Socrates theme for the moment or something else that will draw interest.

That's all I could come up with off the top of my head. All the best to you and good luck!

    Best,
    Adrienne

You can consider doing a joint venture (JV) with another more experienced WSO seller. They can help you with the process and use their name and credibility to help boost your sales. There is a JV section of this forum if you're interested in investigating this option.
