Outsourcing Article Writing Tips

I always specify the keyword I want used with each article, where in the article I want the keyword used, how many times I want it used, and the general topic and tone each article should have. Oh, and also how many words I want the article to have. The more information you can provide to your writer, the better article you will get. Also, getting a writer who is a native speaker of your language helps a lot.

Your location is southern Indiana? I just graduated from college in southern Indiana. I am a freelance article writer so I can give you a different angle on this. Here are the first three things that come to my mind after reading your inquiry:

1. Get someone who is a native born English speaker

I really think that this is the first caveat that you should look for in a writer that you are outsourcing articles to. No matter how much you learn a second language you really can't fully use the power of the language unless you grew up learning it. This is especially true for English. It is the hardest language to master because of all of the regional vernacular and colloquialisms.

2. Education matters

You really want someone who has a decent amount of education to write for you. Being educated allows the writer to add more depth and complexity to their subject matter. This equates to more intriguing and engaging content that will turn your visitors into customers. The longer they are on your website, the better of a chance you have of them buying your product.

3. Provide an example

I think that this is the best thing you can do in my opinion. I know personally that if someone gives me a subject, keyword(s), and an example of what they want their article to look like, I can knock an article out of the park. If you want to teach someone to fish you don't just explain it to them, right? If you want to teach someone to fish you take them fishing.

One rule of thumb when writing an article is to target straight for the moon! (users/searchers). Remember my friend, you are aiming for clicks. Search engine rankings would only give you a handful of clicks. But if you are able to target users properly, for example you have provided what they want/need, you will surely profit from it.

Anticipate what the users will type in the query and you will surely be on the right track. So to sum it all up, most of the time it's the proper selection of keywords.

Remember also that users will more unlikely to type one or two-word keywords. I mean you should think out of the box.
