Hey guys,

I'm wondering if Google banned my site because I have checked my keywords ranking using rank tracker.. I was shocked when my keywords was no longer ranking in Google (Not in top 500).

My question is: If Google banned my site, how long will Google ban my site? Please help.. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Matt Baker

If Google has banned your site then none of the URLs will show up in the index and the only way you can get back in is by getting a re-inclusion request approved...

What did you do to get banned?

You cannot simply say , that Google banned your site.

The very easy way to find whether your sit is been banned or not is .

    Example

    If your site is www.aaa.comn

And if your site is ranking for aaa.com, or aaa .. Means the site is still working , and their might be a drop in the PR or something like that .

Or Google might have devalued your backlinks , so there might be a drop in some SERP.

If your site isn't Ranking for aaa.com or aaa . Then there is some problem, with your site.

Usually if Google penalize the particular site, they give you 90 Days of trial. Before that , you can correct or rectify all the mistakes what you have done on your site. And they you can submit your site for reconsideration .

    Chck that out.

      just try site:yourwebsite.com

if you see results means no you are not banned.. just a drop in rankings..

if you don't see any results, yes you are banned.

      simple

If Gogole won't show your website using your unique domain name or other branded then it is possibly that your website is banned.

Do not worry, if the penalty received isn't that heavy then your website will be back in rankings.

Stop building links and focus on content optimization for now. I got banned too once, a 950 penalty as what they call it. All I did was the one that I mentioned. After a week, my site rankings are back to normal again.

If you find it google banned your site then firstly stop work on your site.
May google your site banned min 2 or 3 month. If you wanna your site come back then.
Remove spamming links, remove duplicate content of your site and used quality content for your site. Then only doing work slow and only get quality backlinks.
I mean to say, use only white hat SEO.

Then after some month your site come back in ranking.

well it can happen for sure, if found with some unethical content.. google can ban the site
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[5401993].message }}
  • Have you checked your site with "site:yoursite.com". If you found a single page from your site then dont worry your site is not banned fom Google. You need to continue ethical SEO activities on your site. Don't forget to post quality content on your site regularly.

But if none of your page appears (searching "site:yoursite.com") than stop working on your site. There might be any suspicious activities from you which is noticed by Google. Remove any spammy links if you have done any. Remove lower quality content (remember panda update always). Then sent reconsideration request to Google Web Masters Tools after some time.

I think it's more likely that Rank Checker is stuffed. I use it too and none of my sites show up in the top 200 for any keyword, even though I know they're there. It's been a problem for 2 weeks now.

I believe it's possible. I have seen a google help page where they described some ways to contact them for help, though I am not sure how long it will take for the response. I will post the link if I can find it.

there is no way to message google just because you've had a drop in rankings.. they receive tens of thousands of emails a day, they WILL NOT reply to you. just keep doing what you do, adding fresh content.. don't copy/scrape/spin other people's article.. keep doing backlinking.. you will see your site rise up the ranks again. it might take 1 week, 1 month, or even 1 year.. honestly, no one knows. anyone who tells you otherwise is talking out of their a**

site:yourdomain.com still listing you so not deindexed. You can also check google webmaster tools to verify that your pages are still in the index. As for why your keyword tool is not showing you in the top 500 I have no idea. Have you verified with a manual search for one or two keywords using in private browsing or incognito mode in chrome to stop google serving you content with a bias?

I don't think so because I did a manual search for my keywords. It was ranking on page 2 and I checked pages 2-10 but I can't see my site.

Just because your ranking dropped, doesn't mean your site has been banned by Google.

To get your site back on the serps. continue doing what you were doing (assuming you were doing nothing blackhat) and your site will be back in the serps.

It could be a simple case of Google dance or what have you. In such cases, it is best to keep your link building campaign as consistent as always and just wait for the site to be back in the serps. Good luck.

Well, if your website has been banned there is very little till not change of getting it back. You could submit a ticket of why it has been deindexed, and make proper changes if you can.

If your site is still indexed but not visible in the top 500 for several days, it might be because Google is reviewing backlinks or it is penalized. It can also be that the site is just yoyoing because it is new..

yeah your site is still showing up in google...so it wasn't banned. Big G is just cracking down on shady less informative sites and crushing them in the SERPS. I was recently banned from Adwords and couldn't get a reason as to why.

So I actually called them up and spoke to a rep with google who told me that one of my landing pages that I used was against their TOS and subsequently they didn't allow ads their and suspended my adwords.

They said that if I fixed landing page and then called back..that they would see about re-instating my account. Yeah it's a pain....but sometimes you gotta go through that crap if you want to use google.

I wouldn't worry much about it. One of my sites had gone from page three all of a sudden to the last pages of google for literally every single page on the site. Reason? I am not sure but I guess rapid backlinking.

Anyway after reading some stuff on the forum and getting some peace of mind about it, I just sat back and waited. After a month all of a sudden visitors from google started to appear and my site was on the first page top half and been there since for just about all my pages.

Newbie SEOs replying to newbies SEOs, yay!! SEO 101, when you see your site not ranking at all, first thing you do is search: site:whateverdomain.com/org.. etc. Google doesn't ban sites, simply de-indexes them. As long as your site is still in Google's index, just carry on with your SEO, it will be back mysteriously just like it disappeared.
