Google Adwords monthly report...

Just got my google adwords december report and I noticed 3 of the top 5 display sites for my ads were on competitor sites. Can I and should I block my ads from appearing on their sites? Assuming people will like mine better it can be an advantage to draw traffic and for google to compare user habits between each, but I am technically feeding money to them and who knows if the clicks from their site are from unbiased sources.

Thoughts?

I've never understood why some sites have Adsense on them when they are trying to sell their own stuff. It's just an invitation to lose sales to the competitor. So my suggestion is to create ads targeted to the site/page that serves your ads. Don't mention them in the ad, that will backfire, especially if you say "we're better than XYZ". But do make an ad that will peak their interest, made them click then have a great sales page so they convert to you.

Yes, you can block them if you want.

Apart from trying to convert visitors clicking on ads from those sites, you can gauge if the popularity goes up or down on them. If less impressions over there, maybe you are getting more traffic yourself, a good thing and good to know.

You're not feeding them money, you're getting traffic. It's what you want, isn't it? Like I said, you are trying to steal customers from them so I think that's good.
