Google Rank Dropping - Need Some Insight

I'm still a noob when it comes to IM, but I have read that it is normal for Google Rank to fluctuate in rankings.

Does anyone have any more experience with this?

I am just starting to pay for backlinking services, and noticed a rise two days ago in some rankings and a drop in others. But the same applies to some rankings that were lower now are higher ranked. I'm sure this is normal and is part of their algorithm, but just wondering how long it takes to straighten out.

My website is close to being a month old.

      Hi,
As you said its 1 month old, It happens sometimes.
You just need to select a good backlinking service. Any service who use blasting techniques should be avoided because such service will for sure ban your website in Google.

That is normal, some of the sites will go up and down but keep doing what you are doing, if you stop then Google will notice that you stopped once you saw changes so it might trigger something , which backlinking service u r using?

Fluctuation in Google SERP will never stop. It will always happen whether you like or not. IMO, your site's age have less to do with this scenario since there are many websites aging from 2-3 years that are still affected by the fluctuation.

I'm sorry to tell you my friend that focusing only in Google SERP will surely waste your time.

5 Reasons Why Rankings Are A Poor Measure Of Success

So don't worry about it my friend. Target the real deal (users) which will give you more traffic and high conversion rate.

this fluctuation is because of your website freshness, keep building good links it would get stable within a couple of months.

Also keep in mind the spam links eventually get devalued and you'll lose out in ranking...but a new site is going to bounce all over the place.

Actually, I'm in a similar position atm, and I wouldn't mind a SEO experts take on this situation. I'm targeting a low to mid competitive keyword with my site's homepage, and I have 7-8 other articles on the site. I started doing my own backlinking, and I got the main keyword (targeted by the homepage) to the 10-11th spot. I figured I would try buildmyrank last week (got the 10 free trial links for now) and started building a pretty creative link wheel (no where near finished).

All of a sudden, my site's homepage is no where to be found for the target keyword, but one of my subpages targeting a completely different keyword is on page 3. I have not recieved any messages on webmaster tools, and if I search site:mywebsite is shows up number one. Is this the google dance?

Your site will ALWAYS show up #1 if you type "site:mywebsite.com." that just simply shows if your site is being indexed in Google, and shows you how many pages are indexed in Google

Usually for new sites you'll seem to be flying high one day and not to be seen at all the next. Again, this usually comes down to low link popularity since it takes time and effort to build quality links to a new website. A continuous link building program is your best insurance against falling rankings.
