PPC Tracking Software (like reachlocal)

I'm not familiar with, nor have used ReachLocal so I'm not sure exactly what they do. But if you're looking to keep track of PPC campaigns (including those of their competitors), I recommend Keyword Research Tool & Keyword Tracking | Keywordspy.com.

Not familiar with Reachlocal either but Google Analytics ... track conversions to the creative & keyword level ... free.

ReachLocal got an unique business model to follow for any ambitious SEM starter to tap into this huge untapped local small biz market.

What I understand from a local client, they offer services such as PPC campaigns, where Clients pay them a monthly flat fee @ increment of service-tiers (1k, 2k, 3K) etc. In return clients simply get the end results of their monthly investment output in leads via web activities or Rich-local integrated phone calls as a phone number is assigned in client's webpage to route calls. Clients simply check the stats of activities by entering a backend PHP Script oriented platform. As long as they are seeing the hits and activities in stats, they are happy. What's impressive here is the phone # tie-up where client can access call logs upto 90 days. All calls are recorded, and stored for replay purpose, that came via the campaigns. Their main focus is ppc, not much into seotization in initial level, as the small biz owners want immediate results.

The beauty of this Biz model is, Clients never get involved directly by opening up ad words accounts on their own. My assumption is, they are a reseller of ad words where their margin of profit comes from the spread between fees collected vs. their combined account of huge size in action. I am sure as a master Account holder of a fully leveraged fund, they get preferential treatment and very importantly the rate structure from SEs considering the campaigns are all local. Just imagine that if you have 1000 clients paying an average of 2k per month, and you have a spread of 30 up to 50% per month of that.

Factors that needed for one to venture the same path from a startup point:

• A good Platform
• A phone script integrated with Web
• A good back end Stats program
• Few good salespeople to prospect on the local biz
• Back-end service delivery people (which could be outsourced)

If you can put the sales people in monthly residual income program and spare an attractive split, it will be very difficult not to make it Big in this. After all the Market is huge.

Anyway this is my assumption of the outside view of the biz model without any
inside exposure to the model in particular.

However, I would be interested as well to hear from coders who are familiar with the similar platform to build a customized system for me.

So are you looking for PPC Tracking tool which does competitive intelligence or spy on competition or which tracks on what keywords you are making money on?

are you talking about ppc tracking like tracker/prosper 202???
