payed with credit card-ad not running

I just started in on adwords and payed with CC but my ad is not running yet.
Is there some kind of waiting time?

  Yes, you have to wait for your ads to be human reviewed if they are running on the Content Network.
  
  Also you should take note that there is a lag time in reporting by up to 3 hours.

  New accounts in general, not just ads for the Content Network, need to go through editorial. This has been known to take a week or so, sometimes.
