Are you sure didn't do anything outside the realm of what you have explained? A serious drop in rankings is a penalty from Google, the good news is you can recover from it.

There are millions of sites on the internet. Google will index your site if there is some content on it. But why do you expect to be in the front of the line?

Have you some really good stuff there that drew thousands of visitors? Do you see a reason to be on the top of the list?

Somebody always have to be at the end of the line too. Learn the stuff here in the forum and if you persevere you'll be at the top in a little time.

Click on the last number of the google search results, down at the bottom of the page. keep on clicking on the last number until you reach the last page and than start back one by one. You'll be there somewhere.

Don't worry you don't have to click a lot. Even if a search result brings up a 10 million hits, there is only about a 100 pages or so.

The reason there are so many hits, is because the combination of the words you type in interacting each other makes it that much. Just like the chessboard. 64 squares, millions of variations.
