Duplicate content issue... maybe?? Help please

Ok so my situation is sort of delicate, let me explain:

- I had a site at XXX.com

- I wanted to move everything from XXX.com to XXX.net

-I was able to successfully remove XXX.com from my servers and it is now nowhere to be found withing Google. This was my goal.

- I am planning to transfer all my articles from XXX.com to XXX.net

- However, when I paste my content into CopyScape Premium just in case to check if there are any duplicate content issues, I see that all the articles from XXX.com still exists, at least according to CopyScape.

My question is - why does CopyScape still see all my content from XXX.com but Google doesn't??

Should I trust CopyScape or Google??

    Dont be worried. Let pass some time. Copyscape will not show old links for those contents.

    Also be 100% ensured your domain is removed from google index. There are some operators you can use to be ensured.

          Actually my site is still index in Bing and Yahoo. Would that be why it still shows up in Copyscape??

          Also, do you know how long it takes Bing/Yahoo to remove a site from its index??

    Also your domain may be deindexed from google but still indexed in yahoo and Bing. Yahoo and Bing takes very long time to index and deindex a webpage. Also keep in mind there are lots of search engines beside google, yahoo and bing.

    So you had better rewrite the articles or wait for some time. Everything will be okay..

    Why you deleted your site its better if you can redirect it to your new domain. google always prefer 301 redirection and it will pass all link juice and efforts you had put for your old domain.

    If your old sites/articles are deindexed from Google, then you're good to go and put that content on your new site - CopyScape is easy-to-cheat tool, so I won't trust it.

    check in google:

    site:yoursitename.com

    and see how many pages are indexed

    You could use the 301 redirect option but anyway now that your older website has been totally deleted and you are going to work on your new site, and you are definitely certain that the contents are fully yours and they are original, pasting them on your new .NET website is the first thing to do and the next point is the matter of time because you need to remain patient. Sometimes even blank pages and web URLs are visited constantly by search engines robots.

    Google and other search engines might still take a look at your older, previously indexed records and contents online for weeks and even a couple of months but they will eventually update their data centers, removing the older pages from their servers. Sometimes deleting the older records can become difficult, especially when some links are pointing at them and they have been counted by search engines. As mentioned, simply wait and publish the contents on your new site.
