I'm a professional writer, and I'm planning to offer SEO-article writing services soon. To start with, I want to obviously target where the greatest need is:

- What article topics are the most in-demand for marketers?

- What subjects are the hardest to get good articles on?

- What topics would you be willing to pay extra for to get good quality?

Thanks everyone! I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this -- I appreciate your input!

As a writer, I can tell you that I have had orders for a myriad of niches, including those that I would never thought of targeting myself. People do pay extra for top quality, and more importantly, they will likely become repeat customers if your work is top notch.

I believe a good quality writer will be able to write about any topic thrown at them. If you choose to focus strictly on a select few number of topics, you're only hurting your business.

If you are an excellent writer, article writing can be quite lucrative. With that, copywriting is still the best avenue to make the most $ for your writing.

As an SEO, we often finding some latest updates in major search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing). Since we are living in a world where rapid updates are just a normal scenario, writing SEO articles about latest SEO techniques, methods, updates, etc. will do.

Another thing is, you will noticed that most of the SEOs' are speaking common things like social bookmarking for better rankings, good quality links for better PR, etc. Very common and sometimes they are lifting up information that might lead others to misconceptions.

I think if you could work on those things and make something that will reroute them (or us maybe) from fraud things, there is a good chance that you will hit what SEO's really want.
