You actually do not need to be using any software tools to make SE friendly websites or pages because doing on-page optimization can be best done manually, in a step-by-step manner. First of all, after selecting the right sets of keywords for your website and its inner pages, begin with editing title tags and descriptions of your site, in a way to cover the main targeted keywords and use a few H tags to emphasize the terms, also use original content pages and web copies.

If you can, attempt to use only the standard and validated HTML codes plus CSS scripts and make sure your site is powered with an uptime and reliable hosting account because hosting related issues are becoming more and more significant. Since crawlability stats of websites are usually also related to the structures of content pages, using static HTML sitemaps or picking XML options too would be highly recommended and keep adding fresh contents to your site.

Be less concerned about "on page" optimization and more concerned about the user experience and having great content people will really want to read.

Of course you want to make sure the basic things are in place like a keyword phrase in the title and url and mentioning the keyword phrase and related keywords in the article but little more than that is usually necessary.

Ensuring your site loads quickly is also a good idea.

If you think about it, a "perfectly optimized seo page" is a footprint.

Would a "normal" i.e. non IM's web page be perfectly optimized? No.

So in my opinion you are really exposing your site as an obvious IM site if you attempt to optimize it completely by using header tags, bolding keywords and the like.

The average site owner would be unlikely to do that, or at least unlikely to do it on every page of their site the same way.

More and more it's becoming about your content, and now Google had released Search plus your world and showing personalized search results you really need to be focused on appealing to your human visitors first and foremost.

    Cheers

You don't need software for on-site. Just stick with the basics and keep it simple.

Title tags, headers, url rewrites, meta tags, and image optimization.

Then write good content with users in mind not search engines.

Onpage optimization doesn't give much benefits like before. Just apply the basic meta tags, keyword density, headings and interlinking. Instead of focusing on your onpage optimization factors, just focusing on adding unique content and high quality backlinks.

On-page SEO is more important than most folks think.

The catch is, on-page SEO has advanced beyond silly things like meta-tags. Meta-tags was driven into the ground years ago & Google dealt with that issue years ago.

You don't really need software for onpage SEO, if you know the basic. It's better to use SEO plugins like SEOPressor, Clickbump SEO, Easy WP SEO and etc. They works great in checking your onpage SEO score.

There are indeed not too many on-site factors, in fact you can write them down on a sheet of paper or notepad etc..

The plugins like clickbump SEO! etc. (which are basically not bad in itself) merely help you with that a bit...but it's not hard to learn and memorize the most important on-site factors since it's not that many, really.
