Im about to put my first staff member on, the biggest job site in Aus costs about $200USD a month to advertise a position on, i'm thinking a PPC campaign with a cheaper budget could be more effective. Has anyone used a similar campaign?

to find one staff member probably not adwords but hey it might work, but you may end up running some big $ before you find your target due to the unrelated keys / so if you did use adwords keep it really tight.

bang for your buck throw an ad into gumtree for free and see how you go.

When I have my own local link building service, I used to look for employees by using local classified ads and forums. I really can't afford to spend money with Adwords, Facebook ads or any other PPC just to find employees, just using the free ways.

But unlucky for me, I only have a couple of part-time local employees who are working for me in various projects. The rest of the applicants are not committed after I interviewed them.

I've never used PPC to find employees but I suggested this method more than five years ago. I'm sure a few companies are using this method. In fact, I managed such a campaign for a client. I think it can work and cost less than a job site. Go for it.
