Hey Warriors,

I am not new to IM but am new to building Adsense websites. This is my first one so would love your opinion. It is only a week old so I know I need more content. I am trying to rank for about 7 keywords at the moment and am already on Page 1-3 on Google. More interested in ad placement and any other tips in case I missed anything. let me know your thoughts.

I would like to advice you to remove the ad box in the bottom of the page. It won't help you get any clicks.

Excuse me, didn't check that. I only saw the home page! Excuse me. Of course you need it though. Good Luck, you now only need visitors

looks good, i have similar layout for some adsense sites, I think you can also add more content to the right side bar. What are you doing for your off page work?

Hi, your top ads is nice. For the right ads, if I were you I will switch it to the top, and I will adjust the color that similar with your navigation links.

I would remove the footer ad.

I know a lot of people disagree with me on this, but unless your content is extremely interesting no one makes it to the bottom.

You are better off putting another block on the side right under your other one on the right.

Also blend the colors of the text links.

I would recommend you go into the "editor" section of the "appearance" tap in Wordpress and find out the default link color of your site and font color then copy them.

Then go into your Google Adsense account and change the ad title to the link default color of your site and change the font and url color to the default font color of your site.

When I did that to my sites I received more clicks.

Site looks good overall, but I did notice it took a bit to load up. Try using a plugin like WP-Cache to help speed up your load times. Other than that, looks solid.

I think you should change sidebar ad colors, make more blended to your site color.

and optimized your SEO on page, I saw no internal link to other post.

You'll get a lot of tips from people, some good some not so good.

      Every site is different.

The only real way is to test yourself.

One tip you can do is use crazyegg to see exactly where the
heat spots are so you know people are clicking there, then put your
      ads there/close by.

Make sure to read Adsense TOS in regards to acceptable ad placement
      or contact your adsense rep

      have fun

One free crazyegg alternative is yandex metrika (it has heatmap option integrated), though it is russian, has an english version as well. You can always use "translate this page to english" option in your browser.

in the last IT-Mozg conference in Russia, Yandex officer from the scene admitted that to track their apps stats they use Google Analitics, because it is lots more powerfull.

You have to be a crossfit affiliate, $3000 a year fee to legally use their trademark in your domain. I know that their legal department like sending out cease and desist letters. Dont be surprised if you get asked to pay or remove the site. Sorry to bring the bad news.

I agree with removing the ads from the footer.

You can also make a split test with putting the ads at top of the sidebar.

In good shape? Did you ignore what I wrote above completely?

Investing any more time and money into this site when they can turn around and make you take it offline seems crazy to me.

I would make the homepage shorter (less post) and add a resource link in the sidebar so they can find the rest of your sites content. Also I would leave image/text ads because when I visited I was presented with a pretty cool eye catching p90x ad, which caught my attn more than the text ads, which is showing grocery ads (logged out of google).

    btw, crossfit training is crazzy

the p90 ad was an image? Yes I do see a few ads off topic but for the most part, they are on point.

Yeah. Your large block at the top left showed a flash based p90x ad. Your right showed grocery ads but when I revisited its showing kettle ball ads

Looks good. What I would always make sure is that once your site is getting traffic, every 2 weeks or monthly look at your CTR and how it's converting. If it is not converting great, make sure you make some minor tweaks and see if that helps out.

Always look into your sites weekly or monthly to see where you can improve.

Change the size of the ad that is on the right at the top. It barely fits in so it kind of looks unprofessional, also remove the ad at the bottom of the page.

Make the design of your posts consistent.

Does having the content between the 336x280 block to the left and the sidebar ad to the right satisfy Google's recent announcement regarding too many ads above the fold of the page?

Wasn't this like to many ads before reaching the content? The content starts pretty soon..I have sites with the same layout which didn't drop in rank after Google released this policy.

Related but unrelated, break your signature up into three separate keywords. At the moment, it is one big long search phrase. That may help your SEO efforts.

The link to OPs site is a parked page, I guess they just gave up, which was a good idea considering their site was a review site with a real brand name that they obviously don't own (fail for any domain).
