Build My Rank Post Length

I'm using BMR right now for backlinking and I only want to put 1 link per article. I know the minimum is 150 words for 1 link, but if all my articles are only about 150-200 words, doesn't that seem a bit unnatural to Google?

Won't Google become suspicious since you're getting so many links from articles that are only 150-200 words?

For the guys who only have 1 link per article, how long are your posts on average? Do you ever do longer posts (like 400-500 words)?

    I used to do 400-500 word articles but am now doing 150-200 words. I think because the posts get pushed off the front page quickly and only the first few sentences are displayed it is better to write short posts with your link in the first couple of sentences.

    If you diversify your back links with article submissions, social bookmarking etc. you should have a wide range of links coming from different length pieces of content.

      You shouldn't post more than 150 words because its natural for a snippet to be of that length on the front page.

      Here are some tips that might help you get a better bang for your buck while using BMR

      1. Make sure that you put links in the first paragraph.

      2. Build posts with relevant LSI keywords. It might not count for much now, but Google's algorithms are getting smarter day by day, and its just a matter of time when they actually start factoring the content that surrounds the anchor text. Also, if you only write 150 words, make the most of them.

      3. Make sure that your target page has the best possible on page SEO. It will make it 10000 times easier to rank. (check out my sig for a completely free on page and off page seo guide, it's still in the making, i suspect that it will take around a month to finish).

    No, it doesn't seem unnatural to Google because the links are coming from different blogs on different IPs and you should be varying your anchor text as well. BMR has shown great results for me and I'm sure it will for you too.     Usually about 150-200 words are enough. 1 link per post is great and the article will "show" Google that your link is natural and the article will help you in getting a better SERP for your keyword

    I only do 1 link per post, and my posts are just over 150 words.
    What I do though is also use an article submission service when I first build my sites, and also I social bookmark. So overall there are a variety of links coming into my site, even though BMR is providing most of the juice.
