Hey guys, I am just trying to get a grasp for how much you can potentially earn on youtube with adsense. I am hoping to hear from people with experience, my question is:

What are the typical earnings for every 1000 views of your video?
#adsense #earnings #typical #views #youtube

So nobody is making money on youtube? geez. Anyways I guess I will share my experiment. I had some videos getting a bit of traffic so yesterday I turned on the advertising feature. So far today I have made $1.20 from 994 page views. Pretty low compared to the CPC I get from regular websites but still nice to make a little extra $$

I'm getting +9% CTR average per day. Every couple of days will jump to +12% CTR.

Check out the TrueView in-stream ads option in your Video Manager on Youtube, it's basically PPV with Adsense. It's awesome!

Can you give me an idea of your earnings per 1000 page views? I'm trying to get an idea of the average so I can figure out what type of views I would need to earn a decent daily income from youtube.

Everything from $0.01 to $1.80 per click.

Youtube has a bad habit of running a lot of political Ads which suck ($0.01) per click, so I went into my Adsense account & turned off political & news Ads. Still waiting to see If anything changes.

It's just like regular Adsense (only easier to get a higher CTR), the keywords/Ads all depend on the niche.

Yukon if I have adsense already does that mean I can instantly start getting paid with YouTube? And does that income basically combine with the adsense I'm using now?

Or is adsense completely different with YouTube and making websites?

        1) If you already have an existing Adsense account, video uploaded to Youtube with monetizing turned on (per video), & traffic/video views, then yes you will start earning as soon as the account is approved.

It's not all peaches & cream ( ), you still have to create videos & drive traffic. Though Youtube traffic is one of the easiest traffic sources on the net.

        2) Yes, the income from Youtube/Adsense will all combine into your regular Adsense account.

The Youtube/Adsense earnings will have a new column (Hosted AdSense for Content) inside your regular Adsense Admin.

That column may not show up until you get your first Youtube/Adsense click.

The easy money is TrueView in-stream ads, If the traffic/views watch the full 30 second Ad, that counts as a single Adsense click. The traffic doesn't have to click anything, for you to get paid, basically it's a PPV.

Don't watch your own TrueView in-stream ads. Turn the option on in Youtube per video & forget about the actual video page, I wouldn't even visit the actual video.

    it is about 25$
    i usually go to spyfu.com
and the number of advertisers should be more than 5
i usually go for 20 advertisers, cause the cpc is higher up to 4 dollars

Not If your running the TrueView in-stream ads (video Ads).

Those are the Ads running before the video starts playing.

If that pre roll Ad runs the full 30 seconds, that counts as a single Adsense click.

They don't have to do anything except let the pre roll video Ad finish playing. I guarantee most viewers on Youtube don't know those pre roll Ads are paying out money to the average Adsense guy.

Thanks for all your help. It appears that I am now less than "48 hours" away from being able to montize my videos. Now all I have to do is put some vidoeos on there a few thousand (hopefully, hundreds of thousands) people want to see.

So I take it the Youtube link I posted worked out for you?

          Can you confirm that?

          Thanks,

I'm already monetizing Youtube/Adsense on another account, so I didn't complete the steps on the Youtube page (link I posted above).

It said it would take 48 hours to complete the process and go live. I assume that is the same basic process as when adding adsense to a new website.I will try to remember to come back and post when it goes live.

No, nothing to setup in the Adsense Admin.

You do have to turn on the Adsense per individual Youtube video, inside the Youtube Admin., you'll see a monetize button on the Youtube Video Manager page.

It's not a full blown partner, still it pays like regular Adsense. Really they can call it whatever they want as long as it pays.

It is now monetized and the video is under review.

Thanks so much Yukon for your original thread that gave me this idea and for all your help in this thread in getting me signed up and online. Now, to get some videos online that are worth watching and see if we can generate some income.
I left both the enable overlay and enable trueview boxes checked as you showed in your example in the other thread. Is that correct?

      That was fast, getting approved!

That's the same way I'm running Ads overlay + trueview at the same time on the same videos.

If you follow these 4 things I doubt anything negative will ever happen to your Youtube/Adsense.
      • Family friendly videos
      • Own 100% of the audio/video
      • Never click Ads, never watch truview Ads on your own videos
      • Never fall for any type of fake views that others are selling

Follow the tips on video responses, it will help generate free traffic.

      Thanks for the updates.

It's all about testing different things.

As far as video responses, don't be afraid to move the video response to other videos. You can move the response as often as you want. Basically keep searching for untapped video traffic.

Also, create a playlist to store all your best traffic for video responses & delete old videos from the list as you find new/better traffic from other video responses. The playlist just makes it easy to keep track of free traffic sources for future videos that you create.

Its the same exact way you create the first video response for your video.

      [source]
      • Find a video you want to post a video response on
      • Click on the comment form below the video, like your getting ready to post a comment. A link will popup below the comment form "Create a video response".
      • Click the "Create a video response" link & follow the instructions. Assumes you already have an existing video of your own uploaded.
After you click the Create a video response link, the next page will show the video is already on another older video response, just select the video from the list & click the button below the list.

Remember not everyone will allow you to create a video response on their videos (some people are like that).

I always open the new video response (list of my own videos) in a new browser tab. That way If you get denied by the new video response you can at least go back & re-post on the old video response If needed.

Per 1,000 anywhere from $2.50-$50+. Depends on how many clicks, and CPC, etc. Bunch of factors that go into it. If you want to make money pic the right niche..

I get anywhere from 80 cents to 2 dollars per 1000 views. Then again, my videos do not get a ton of clicks, which makes my earnings lower. My videos are also under 1 minute, so they don't get pre-roll ads. However, if you have videos over 1 minute that get an average amount of clicks, and you enable preroll ads, you should land around 5 dollars per 1000 at the very most. This is based on my experience, as well as knowing about 15 other youtube partners.

Are you running TrueView in-stream ads? If not already, turn that option On in the Youtube video Manager (per each video).

Also, how much of that 45K is mobile traffic?

I don't think Youtube/Adsense counts mobile views, in the Adsense Admin.

I'm a little over +10.0% CTR on Youtube/Adsense for today (so far).

$1.5 - $4 whatever for 1K view is not reasonable for me as to make $10/day it needs 7.5K - 2.5K views which is very hard to manage in general sense...
but there is a hope that if the topics is internationally concerned then there is a great chance to get millions of views a day and the earning can be enhanced if you upload 100 of videos and work with them same time...
