An easy way to get a site wide backlink

I'm a big fan of getting dofollow backlinks through blog commenting. However if you take this a step further and do a little more work you can also get a site wide backlink which is extremely valuable in Google rankings!

Add "TopCommenter" to your searches.

IE- keyword +"TopCommenter" and you will find blogs with the topcommenter plugin.

The topcommenter plugin rewards the top 5 or 10 monthly commenters. The amazing thing is that the top commenter is often only 3 or 4! This is even for PR3+ blogs. I guess so many people just drop 1 comment and run these days.

So if you find a good topcommenter blog - Take the time and post enough comments to land on the top 10. A sitewide backlink is like gold!

How many are you looking for to give comments on your sites as I would like to know what are the chances and odds of getting the top price.

    Thanks

I have just started commenting so is all of these sites keyword love? Or can I use the keyword on the name and it will link back to my site? as I have said just started and hopefully to hear from you.

    Thanks

I'd recommend to browse comments for some posts and see if the blog author allows keyword links and if other people do it. If so, go ahead, if not, better use your real name (or any made up real sounding name), it's still better to have links without keywords than no links.

Keep in mind that keywords instead of the name are always a flashing red sign of spam, so your comments certainly need to be better than average...stuff like "Very interesting post, thanks" or similar will get you banned on sight.

Top Commentator plugin does help in getting back links, but you need to be consistent to maintain those top spots. If you fall from the list, you loose your links too

This is true but currently follow about a dozen blogs that only require 3 or 4 monthly comments to maintain the top spots. The trick is to find the those blogs which really isn't that difficult. Especially compared to the payoff of a site wide link.

Very interesting approach, I might go ahead and buddy up with a few top commentor blogs... Seems like its a bit futile but generally it only takes a day or two for Google to count it so I think that this could be extremely valuable.

Definitely worth the time, especially if you can find blogs with little competition and nice PR.
