Ok so i have my own clickbank product that I'm promoting and bought a domain with the "KW+ MyBrandname"

im trying to rank for 3 keywrods

Kw1,Kw2,Kw3 are slight variations but all cointain the primary keyword

I have ranked exact keyword match domains much easier in the past around last year, However ive been trying to rank this site for almost a week now and im still not in the first 10 pages for all 3 keywords.

keywords are high and medium competition and its on a specific health niche

my site is indexed and when you type the name of domain it appears on google.

Im getting a little worried now, I plan to go big on this niche, but from seo point of view its a little hard.

I have all meta tags on my home page, i would say the onpage is pretty good

any advice or opinions?

I hope you mean medium/high based on rank analysis and not adwords keyword tool (as I am suspecting, the way you worded it). In which case, having an EMD or not is pretty much not going to matter at all.

1 week is nothing. Make sure on-page is perfect, and keep hitting the off-page.

Looks like you have some work to do. If you can afford a SEO expert hire one. if you can't then over the course of a few weeks build some quality backlinks. Try and vary the kinds of links you get and make sure you get some good quality content. If you do this you should rank the site

A week is a very, very, very short space of time in the SEO world.

As you say, the keywords you are trying to rank for are medium/hard, so it's going to take way more effort than you can do in just 1 week.

Depending on the type of competition it may take you 6 months or more of solid work.

However, without knowing what your keywords are or your site, it's impossible to given any definitive information.

I have an EMD for the main kw I want to rank for , for my beach resort the family owns

It is no higher than position 20 1 yr later and the kw terms are really not that competitive

true I have not backlinked it much, my main resort site ranks higher for that term and the kw is NOT in the domain name or the url

    go figure

    EMDs are overrated

Yep, EMDs are overrated. Just build some links and see what happens.

EMDs are one subject which seriously gets me into rage.
Reason being that some people tend ONLY to be able to see as far as EMDs, as if its the most important criteria for a site and potential rankings.

Second reason that Google still values the EMDs, meaning the EMD craze has in fact "some" merit. For me this is as idiotic as evaluating a car based on its color.

As for your question...you cannot answer such a general question. But you can make POWERFUL sites and rank (almost) all keywords all the way up if your site has a good structure, related categories etc. to give the impression to Google it's an authority site. The rest is good CONTENT, your keyword research needs to be done and then good link building (+ keyword diversity, deep linking etc..etc..)

      Hi 0b1,

Your question is a bit like asking "How long is a piece of string?"

No one can answer your question with any kind of estimate unless you can offer a lot more specific information. Chances are if you gather the information needed to answer your question you will have a much better idea yourself.

To get a good idea of what it is going to take to rank your web pages, just look at the pages that are listed on the first page of the SERP. How well are their on-page elements optimized, how many backlink, how well are those backlinks optimized and how much authority do those backlinks provide?

Find the answer to those questions and you will have pretty much answered your own question.

I've ranked non-EMD (mykeyword.com, allkeyword.com, etc) to #1 positions but I noticed they do tend to take a bit more time getting there compared to EMDs. 1 week is too short of a time frame to get nervous. It usually takes me 1-3 months depending on the niche to get a stable first page position.

I wouldn't worry too much about not having an exact match domain name. They are not nearly as powerful as they used to be and Google has said that they are "turning down" the power of them even more. One week is WAY to short of a time frame to worry about your rankings at this point. You should be in it for the long haul.

As for ranking higher, I suggest you make sure you have lots of quality content on your website (content IS king) and make sure your on-site SEO is solid. Then, think about investing in either BuildMyRank or Unique Article Wizard. These two blog networks are what I use to rank the majority of my websites in Google and they are amazing tools. Even if you don't use those tools, it is very important to get some quality backlinks. Hope this helps and best of luck!
