Can I use long tail keywords but have them point to identical pages?

Example: foo.com/make-tomato-soup & foo.com/cook-tomato-soup
both point to foo.com/tomato-soup

Does google ignore the long tail keyword pages and focus on the result or ??

Thanks!

First Google never ignore long tail keyword pages.

During those first weeks, Google is sort of testing how a new site performs in the search results and watching for trust issues and growth in popularity. Only an exceptional site "catches fire" so fast that it maintains those early good search rankings.

So, google will let me keep all 3 links even though the content is identical?

NO, If content is identical then google put your site in duplicate content issue(Because of Panda ).. and also effect in SERP... so please make your content unique with each link.....

You can have a long tail keywords in the URL, but it should makes sense. Every URL will be cached and indexed by Google.
