That was the problem, you should understand Adsense Terms first.

Interesting why you would send paid traffic to adsense sites seeing as thats a pretty basic thing never to do with an adsense account. The fact that you have 40 sites would make me think you would know better than that. Not trying to come off like an a$$hole but it seems you put in a lot of time in order to start 40 adsense sites, and it just seems odd.

they guaranteed that it was AdSense safe! SEOmall

i didnt get banned for using adfly - so i thought it would be safe. also, i had just bought a website from someone on flippa who used the same technique to drive traffic to the page, so i figured he knew what he was talking about.

lost over $1000 due to forfeited earnings.

What a lot of paid traffic won't tell you is they are sending junk traffic from porn sites & anything else they can get.

The guy selling low dollar traffic could care less what happens once you pay for the traffic.

Anyone that is running Adsense my advice is stay away from paid traffic, that way you don't have to worry about being banned for junk traffic.

Google is pretty smart about detecting traffic sources.

Ouch that is painful! I feel your pain. I have played around with different ad networks and nothing comes close to Adsense. Most networks I have tried deliver about 10% of the revenue Adsense does. I use Media Net on a few of my sites to supplement my Adsense income. You might try them, but they deliver 1/8 the cash Adsense does...

You could try open an Adsense account under a friend's name... Maybe that would work.

Lesson of this story is read the Adsense TOS and don't trust anyone with your websites.

Open a limited company or LLC I think they are called in America. You can get an adsense account in the company name but figure out what got you banned first or you will end up losing the new account too.

I would say this. To many people offer Google to much access to their information. Install piwik and stay the heck away from Analytics for sites that have Adsense. It is also very advisable to not put to many sites on an IP. That way not all your sites get flagged.

You know this is getting old. If you're using Adsense, you're already giving Google the information they need to make decisions about your account.

I'd venture to say that if you're running a website on the up and up, it would be in your best interest to ensure it's linked to Webmaster Tools. If you're doing things right, you have nothing to worry about.

    Ouch.

But yeah... paying for traffic that is sent to an Adsense-earning site is against the TOS.

Let this be a lesson to everyone else!

As for OP's situation: There are other programs similar to Adsense that you can join, like Chitika and others (can't name them off the top of my head).

Some people have testified that other ad networks have made them even more than Adsense, so all hope is not lost yet.

HUGE mistake, paid traffic of any kind is a no-no with Adsense. Patience my friend, patience if you want to play Adsense game. If you don't have the patience with Adsense or the pay per click based business model, then change your business model ASAP! Because it makes no sense if you get a new Adsense account and don't have the patience.

Sell your product/vendor, or become an affiliate of either physical or digital products.

I have to agree, using paid traffic with Adsense is a huge gamble and almost always will get you the ban hammer. Looks like either get another adsense account under a different company name or there is always CPA, Amazon, Skimlinks, EPN, etc. There are many other choices out there.

Thanks for sharing the proof of earnings but for me it needs a hell of traffic and clicks to get little money.
For example, in Ad$ense you can earn about $15-20 for an average 35 clicks but with that site 35 clicks returned about $5

Those are some insane earnings. compares to AdSense...

Just added Infolinks to one of my sites to test it... My CPC is about 4-6 cents only, CTR is at about 10%. If it reached 15-18% like on that link it would be amazing and would probably be comparable to AdSense.. either way, Infolinks seems like good side income so far...

Paid traffic itself is not against TOS. Google's empire is
based on paid traffic. You can even use adwords. Why
do you think google sends us free adwords coupons
and TELLS us to put our adsense sites on it?!?!

But watch your paid traffic. Adwords is good traffic.
Others may be garbage. And garbage traffic will
        lead to garbage clicks.

You can use adwords if your site is monetized by something
else as it's main revenue source. Google itself published
a how-to article using a plastic surgeon as an example.
Those that were not going to buy the service were served
other ads, perhaps get some info clicks.

If your site exists for no other reason that adsense, then
paid traffic should be avoided. You just want a visitor to
click. Sites like that are very ripe for a ban anyway.
Sites that exist for no other reason than adsense are
borderline against TOS. Toss is in some massive garbage
traffic, and what do you expect?

Paid traffic can be used effectively and within TOS.

I'm not saying your site just existed for no other reason
        than adsense.

Here's the best advice to anyone and it should be
        ingrained in your heads:
Be satisfied with what little you make on adsense and
increase your earnings using organic and meaningful ways.
When you look to kill the golden goose, slap yourself back
        to reality.

Exactly! There are many ecommerce sites that drive traffic with ppc and use AdSense as additional monetization.

Now, if you throw up a page with a scraped article and a bunch of ad blocks, you will absolutely be banned.

For 847 clicks in a day with Ad$ense (CPC $0.3 only) I would make $254
With the link shared, it showed for that number of clicks , the earnings = $49
I'm not saying that this is not good income but compared to Adsense this makes 1/5 of the revenues.

You won't get CTR that high with AdSense most likely..

If you get banned from AS then 50 bucks a day isn't that bad.. much much better than 0!

P.S. You still have direct advertising sales left. If you use Infolinks you got banner space to sell. Depending on the niche, ads sales could be good option.

I just thought about it a little. Why Google cannot tolerate paid traffic on Adsense sites, is clear. But the same money could be spent on advertising or linkbuilding as well. And, if the sources for this are crappy, the traffic is still crappy. The only secure option would be that no Adsense site is allowed to have any backlinks, just organic traffic from Google, Yahoo and Bing. But then, if there are no backlinks, there are no positions in the SERPs either.

Honestly, nothing really ever comes close to AdSense except maybe some affiliate programs if you've got a good site designed for that.

I'd say sell your sites, then get an LLC and start over with AdSense. It sucks that you had to learn the "no paid traffic" lesson this way, but there's not much you can do about it now.

It used to be possible to buy cheap clicks from Adwords and send them to pages optimized for expensive Adsense ads. A group of us made a killing on this a few years ago. Then Google changed their TOS and banned arbitrage. We all got our Adsense and Adwords accounts banned and we found it almost impossible to get new accounts approved.

In my case this was a blessing in disguise because it forced me to focus on much more effective ways of making money online (but that's another story...:rolleyes
