Fake PR sites?

few days ago i've visited a site which was a blog and given to my through an seo company which offer backlinks, blog has no alexa rank, more than 500 reputation/backlinks in alexa, but PR is 5..
i've shocked that its not true.. i've tried a lot to get know how they built this fake page rank but don't came to know yet ....
any body tell us both about the fake pr, how to built this rank and how we can check that it is fake...

I beleive PR cannot be faked. Its the tool that gives you buggy results.
In order to check the PR of a website you need to get a reliable tool (I use SEO chrome)... Use this tool for every page page of website to know the actual PR. Remember, domain doesn't have PR... Its webpages that carries PR.

Not true.
PageRank can be faked using different techniques, 301 redirects being one of them.

  they are maintaining their pr from past 2 months. I saw this site before 2 months with 10 pr and i checked every aspect of pr but i cant get any information. how could they get 10 pr with wordpress theme?

I agree with C Rebecca, that pr cannot be fake, because it is after all google's pagerank, and google will not let this happen, so i wish if appsartechnologies or matricresult can share with us any example of the site having fake pr to know the fact that if it is really possible to have a fake pr or it is just a rumor.

As you can see (link above) the info:domain search isn't foolproof.

No way is that site/page a legit PR10.

I didn't take the time to check any links, but I seriously doubt that page is legit.

  website is very thin both content and back link wise, but the site checks out on all the mentioned techniques here.
  
  I take it one method is to do the 301 redirect, then take it away as soon as the high PR is allocated, this gives the site 3-4 months until the next google PR update???

They forwarded their site to facebook while the public PR database was being updated. Then they took away the forward. It will show 10 until g updates the public PR checker database again.

Hi Everyone,

In my opinion Page Rank is not fake because i can spend so many day's to learn how anyone apply fake page rank on website but nobody can apply fake page rank on any website major reason is this Google provide page ranks for all website's and we can use tool to check page rank page rank tools analysis page rank of website page rank tool bars does not provide irrelevant results.

So you are happy to buy links from a PR8 blog that's 2 months old and has virtually no backlinks? Good luck with that.

I very much doubt that. Google doesn't consider code from within a website to apply it's PR. It uses it's own algorithm.
