Hi,
I heard the duplicate content penalty applies to only dupe content on your site but not to scraped content taken from the web and put on your site.
Is this true or does it apply to both?

    No, it is not true about the scraped content, it is same as dup content. Simply spun your articles and make is unique by checking on copyscape, it is not difficult as it see. Make sure the grammer is also correct.

    As You Know that After Panda Algorithmic Update The main Objective of Google Algorithm is Content Quality! Google Prefers Unique and Fresh Content! How can Google give value to scrapped content which have not up to mark as far as its Grammar is Concerned?

    So Its Batter Approach To Rely On Fresh and Unique Content Instead of Duplicate Content!!
