This might sound harsh but seriously people!..Follow the TOS and you should be fine. If you got banned from Adwords or Adsense you're obviously not following big G's rules

Whether you're outsourcing or doing it yourself - FOLLOW THE TOS

Thanks for your wise words...... I'm sure you're trying to be helpful but you could probably add something more than just a negative statement.

There's a little bit of truth to what you're writing; however, even following their TOS doesn't guarantee anything.

Since we're in the business of making money, it's obvious: diversify. Always.

Ranting about a ban might FEEL GOOD, but it won't make you any money. If anybody finds themselves in the position of feeling "cheated" because they were "banned" from something, as hard as it is, MOVE ON and keep making money.

There are thousands of ways to make money online. Usually, when one door closes, another opens and it forces one to try out new and different things that they otherwise wouldn't have done before. It's that one new and different thing that MIGHT end up making you a ton of money that you otherwise wouldn't have made were you not banned.

It's like investing your money: why would you invest in only one thing?

The same goes for making money online: make a little from Adsense, make a little from your own products, make a little from CPA, make a little from Fiverr, etc. Diversify.

Oh yeah Diversity is HUGE - can't just rely on one source of income, I've learned from being in real estate for years.

A little bit of cash from each

Totally agree GMD - Putting all your eggs in one basket can be very dangerous in this game. Diversification is the way to go but unfortunately the majority of online marketers don't seem to do that well!

Seriously the only thing you have to worry about is duplicate content and link spamming . And if you can't build a site with original content then why are you complaining in the first place.. Even when PANDA came out it didnt even effect any of my sites the slightest so I dunno why all the complaints .. And on top of that I have used plenty of " Black Hat" SEO methods to promote my sites and still no change .. So with that said dont complain at all there is no reason if you need SEO schooling or want to learn how to set up your sites PM me I can give you hand

I've definitely seen 2 blogs with the same article and both ranking top for the keyword (that's how I found the blogs)

So I def agree duplicate content is a big G myth

        Andy correct as usual

        My own observation is this

You will not be penalized for duplicate content on your site
You may even actually rank for it initially but that page will usually drop off

Wholly duplicate content surrounded by ads and nothing else with the sole purpose of making money else = Google's definition of Spam = deindex

        Panda says "Hi".

It used to be a myth. Now it very much is a legitimate issue. Anyone not knowing this must have been in a coma in 2011. And no, that doesn't mean there aren't sites getting away with it, because there are....for now at least. Be that as it may, there is no longer any doubt that Google has started cracking down on sites utilizing duplicate content. Used to be the duplicate content was the only content affected when Google decided they didn't like the duplicate content, but now, having duplicate content on your site can drag down the entire site....original content included.

If you respect the Google rules and don't intend to manipulate algorithm by spamming it. You are in a neutral area that doesn't affect your website badly by banned you and put you in their black-hat list.

Use the white hat techniques and create magnetic content that attract your visitors and tease them to read your content until the end and take action as a result.

For the MAJORITY of cases this is true, i am always surprised what crappy and shady sites some people have and then act all surprised if they got banned.

But there are some things where it's not your fault, for example when you get click-bombed.
